Would this work?
#1
Since I been soloing zak a couple times now (Found 7 SS's from solos in my MS folder). All went fine and I never died. But seeing this is quite expensive to do seeing I usually didnt get good drops I was thinking of selling all helms that drop so a buyer could scroll or reloot. The first time it took me 1hr n 48mins with 2gelts 1demon rest apples, but my last run was 1hr n 42mins with just apples so only used 10 apples there. Offcourse it depends on def ups and dont think I can do it with less then 10 apples. Seeing regulair zhelms are avg 40m in scania with a few exceptions I guess. But this is for 1 helm no reloots/scrolling. Since I dont really want to loose out meso doing this I was thinking of asking 10 apples so I'd only have to use like 1 or if my runs are as fast as last one even none of my own. Seeing apples are around 3m right now that would be 30mil to scroll/loot all helms that drop (also lv10 skills would be free if youd buy a helm). Also I cant refund the buyers apples if he/she dies or disconnects. On the other side I would refund / go again if I'd dc or die but this never happened before. Keep in mind I dont really make profit of this if I'd have to use more apples of my own unless I get good drops.

For the ones that dont want to read everything the question is;

10 apples for all helms that drop on my zak solo would this be fair?
If not what price would be better?

well they get a cheaper helm, but it's going to cost them more pots on top of it because of a longer run. You save money but you have to stay alive longer. I think it evens itself out alright.

Not being able to get refunded if anything happens would suck though.

Well yeah what you said about it evens out, I dont think you an extra 10mil on pots. Also remember they could loot all helms instead of just one.

And yeah about the refunding I cant think of a solution, put yourself in my place using another 30mil to get some1 you probably dont know some helms cause they died/dc. :/

I know it won't cost them 10m extra in pots, but it will cost them over an extra hour of survival time, which makes it about even.

I've seen some guilds do a "one run helm" for 20m, and no matter what happens, you get one try to survive a run.

I think you should bring another attacker with you though.

if you buy 2x drop, you get better drops and will recover the mesos spent. zakking without 2x drop is kinda crappy. great idea hayo but i agree with the above poster, who'd pay 30m to sit in a room for 2hrs hoping they dont die or dc. That 10m difference gets your a bishop that can heal you, ressurection in case you die, and a buyer player so that you don't even have to worry about doing anything. Get my drift?

You're not the first to get this idea. The reason why buyers would choose to buy for this service is because they can loot multiple helms for scrolling purposes.

10 Apples would be like 30m... which is like less than 1 helm. But 2 hrs 15 apples is probably good. http://sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.p...663&page=3 He soloes for about 65m... but a lil faster

Heh thanks for the link never knew more people thought of this.
Also didnt really think of asking meso and allowing more of the buyer's friends to come.
I see he also allows people to leech exp.. hmm..
I wonder how he deals with dead/disconencted buyers guess I'll PM him.

You could also get more buyers if you're willing to HB them Tongue

Get a bishop in your party.

If you have NX to spend, get 2x drops and you can still make profit without bringing along buyers. If not, bringing another attacker and duoing might be a lot faster, and you just have to charge more.... From my point of view, I would use this service if I was going to scroll my helm and was more talented than I am. (Staying alive for almost 2 hours can get a little boring, hence why another attacker may help.) You could also get a bishop instead of another attacker.

Just did it again with a buddys buddy, I used to do this for 6 apples so she heared that from my buddy but this was the last time doing it for 6 apples cause I had to use 5 of my own and didnt get any weapon or skillbook that I could sell. At least the buyer did get to scroll her helm.

Personally I think this is quite an interesting idea. Though that is a long time for them to have to survive and pay attention, and of course there would be no HB or heal. I'm guessing that if they die, it is tough luck?

Since I'm a dark knight there will be HB but yeah there wont be heal.

What if you also allowed the looter to leech exp from arms? Maybe that would bring more interest if they're low leveled. Just a suggestion since I saw a thread somewhere selling leech from zakum arms =P

Yea thought about that, now thinking of doing it for 11 apples including leech at arms. What do you guys think about this price would it be fair if they could leech n loot all helms?

A guildmate of mine has been doing something very similar to this for a while now. He takes in one buyer at a time, and they get to loot all the Helms that drop (if they want to scroll or keep relooting). He either kills Zak solo or duo, typically.

Me and two other friends are doing the same thing for 10 apples. It's quite fair and easy. We don't refund the person entirely if they disconnect, only half the apples because we feel bad. I'm a Bishop, so they'll have at least one chance of getting res'd if they die. 10 apples pretty much covers the 1 hour run. Not including extra chews here and there along the way. But drops pretty much cover our pot and extra expenses.
