MetaSeraphim Wrote:This is nothing more than an absolutely worthless opinion. And even if it is true it doesn't excuse removing content.

So my opinion is worthless, and yours somehow isn't? Rolleyes

I like the way you skipped the bit where I asked for any possible use of the 7th day market, or of anyone ever using it. Rolleyes. I'm not saying this is justification for removing China and Thailand (Since comparing developed maps with monsters and quests with the 2 whole maps used for 7th day market is apples and oranges), but there is no goddam reason that 7th day market should be in the game.

And no, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH they shouldn't remove content, like the angle you're going for, isn't a reason.

If people actually cared about the content, they'd complain endlessly about it. How many people have you seen complain about 7th day being gone?
Now compare that to how many people were upset that the Alien Visitor Pq was removed? Exactly...

But no, you go on right ahead and keep arguing your position where you try and justify something that almost everyone is going to disagree with you on.

i guess someone forgot to mention the part where the removal was to actually make more space and also i love how we will only have a 2 patch big bang instead of three Big Grin

let's just wait and see whether they would be taking away the monster book, or removing neo tokyo for neo city. but most likely wont happen, as if they remove neo tokyo, you can say goodbye to most of the maplesea players.

It won't really matter either way. Post-Big Bang Neo City is way better than Post-Big Bang Future Tokyo. Future Tokyo was nerfed out the ass and back.

Good riddance, Chaina. All you did was hold us back.

Bleh , saying that they want to make ways for updates are just stupid lies Rolleyes
They could always expand their server Tongue
If they couldn't , they could always delete the junk datas in their database Tongue
Do you KNOW HOW MANY RUBBISHES THEY HAVE INSIDE ?
According to x3Repetance : There's a full Coke town data in it centuries ago
There's data of Taiwan : Formosa , fully expanded until Night Market CEN-CEN-CENTURIES AGO
There's stupid strings of VIP items and datas of Sheep VS Wolf event
99% full data of Neo City
full data Korean Chuseok , Mid-Autumn or Moon event 2010 (The view of the Moon)

And Gaga rescue data
GMS 's Crimsonwood keep ITCG item strings and CrimsonWood Keep rare item strings
and more and more countless rubbish datas and strings
Why dont they just delete those ? They never release it though

MapleSEA , if I wanna to describe it terribly and inconsiderately ,
The dump sites of all kinds of data stored inside as hidden decorations for their database.

-facepalm-

tsk tsk... if they dont remove unpopular contents YOU are going to have to expand your dumb computer. they might have removed all those unused content you stated but theyre not gonna tell us anyway since its not an official content. They wont just go 'Oh we also removed ximending, coke town and other data too!' cause you know what, maplers arent supposed to know those were in there. IF youre so good go work for them and delete off those files then.
Now you, stop YOUR nonsense... asiasoft is finally doing something to reduce to file size and yet terrible and inconsiderate maplers still slam them. sigh.

Well, I guess so? I am just helping the others (who was unhappy of this removal) to speak for them
I don't mind they remove those
I collect those opinions from the forum and just piled it here

No, I'm all for deleting useless contents. The game files have reached over 2 Gb in size already. I would be pretty damned pissed if 80% of it were crap nobody even cares about.
There are two approaches to fixing an area: revamp it and make it good, like Ludi training grounds after BigBang. If the company does not wish for option 1, removing it is way better than leaving it alone and possibly causing more heartburn later on when the cogs don't match.

Sustaining something is more than just leaving it alone.

Not an excuse. Even with removing this the game is still going to be big. Asiasoft is nothing more than a terrible and inconsiderate game managers.

I know you have a habit of arguing silly things with no basis. Really though. Name an area that GMS has that is almost universally empty. Omega Sector used to be, BB fixed that. Almost all maps in Maple see at least some constant activity, even if it's just on channel 1. China and Thailand were literally almost worthless in that they offered nothing that couldn't be found elsewhere. Not only could it be found elsewhere, it tended to be bigger or better on some level. Also, if Shanghai Wai-Tan and Floating Market had a purpose, what was it? Random walking around through maps? I'm sure you can go see the sights in Mu Lung or Zipangu and watch the pretty pink trees. Or something...

@Jackie: Difference here is, that those maps cannot be reached and thus are never drawing on server resources. All that junk in their source adds size, but nothing more. When you have a problem with your computer, I highly doubt it's a full hard drive, as much as it is your CPU or RAM maxing out.

@ShanghaiDizzy: Remember our argument when I very rudely dropped the whole "English not your language blah blah blah"? Well, I have ADHD, and let me assure you I can still argue with the best of them. Case and point: That was rude.

lol they, reducing the file size? they just shut off ways to enter those maps and the maps are still in the files.

Yes it was. People are arguing that if something is useless it should be removed, while a good amount of maps in MapleStory go underused. So shouldn't they be removed as well? No, of course not.

Tykian Wrote:I know you have a habit of arguing silly things with no basis.

I shouldn't even bother replying to you since you've obviously never read any of my posts, but.

Were China and Thailand universally empty as well? I doubt it. I am sure they had at least some constant activity every now and then. But there are maps in GMS that are hardly used and you don't see GMS running around like dumbmotherf'uckers deleting those areas. Since you want me to name an area I will. That map in Japan with the Crows, I mean really, the only people who go there are the ones who do the quest or hack. It should be deleted along with all of Japan, right?

If something does more harm than good, if it does any good at all, why keep?
7th day market was fine on its own, it had some benefits. Its existence, in overall, caused more grief than cheers and thus its extermination was unanimously wished for (if an appropriate fix is out of the picture, which it was).

What harm were China and Thailand doing then? Taking up a little bit of space on people's harddrives?

Again, it wasn't 7th Day Market that caused grief, it was the lightbulb. They are different things. It is like saying Masteria caused grief to players because they couldn't get all the Hyper Glepsadadasdahhhhs they needed.

Quests related to place =/= Place itself.
