I LOVE to cook. Tried doing everything. Pasta is a great option and has an amazing variety. You can make something completely new, by just combining an easy pasta recipe, with the things you actually like, you can add your touches to it and make something amazing.
One of the things i actually love to cook, is a mix of salad, rice and pasta. Since i absolutely love vegetables, i can use everything my mother leaves at the bottom part of the fridge. I usually cook some rice, and add some spices to it, to make it taste like something, then i cook the pasta, and get a pan with butter, cut some onions, and fry the pasta in the pan for some seconds alongside the rest of the spice i used for the rice.
After it, i make a salad with cabbage, tomatoes, cucumber, chicken and usually kani too.
It's amazing. The best part about cooking, is that when you get used to it, you can have twice pleasure. The one you get from actually cooking, and the one from eating the good result. :>

Usually steam some rich in a rich cooker and then sautee some whatever meat and veggies I have in the fridge for dinner. Some soy sauce and oyster sauce makes dinner taste great!

I love cooking, I actually plan for that to be a back up if teaching falls through.
I usually love to go online and look up korean recipes and give them a shot if I have the ingredients, and even then I love to just experiment in the kitchen. I'm a good baker I guess you could say, and I wish I could learn more techniques and official ways to making delicious foods.
If you're interested in trying korean food, look here for some awesomeawesomeawesome recipes.

Just cook rice normally, but instead of water use some sort of broth. Then transfer the rice to a frying/saute pan with a light layer of oil, mix in veggies, meat or even an egg, mix until complete!
Oh.
So that's how you do it.
I can only cook regular rice.

You could also use left-over rice. Rice keeps surprisingly well in the fridge. Sometimes if I have leftover dish with a lot of sauce I'd save that as well. Next day, I'd heat up the sauce, stir in some rice from the leftover box, and let it simmer until it sort of looks like risotto. Best to do it with a non-stick pot though, or you'll spend ages pot-scrubbing afterwards.

If I cook something that requires more than popping it in the microwave, it's usually sweets.

Leftover rice is usually better because it's dry and isn't that soft. So when making the fried rice it doesn't all turn into... a gooey mess / stick to the bottom of the pan/wok unless you spam oil.
Fried rice is a common staple for Singaporeans. Hence.

I wish I could get the rice that you find in Chinese homes without having to drive all the way to chinatown.
The rice they sell in walmart just isn't the same. . . .

I'm good at making pasta with all kinds of sauces. It's pretty easy, just get some vegetables/meat and fry them for a bit (carrots, tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, leeks are nice options but there's plenty of other stuff), also you can add some good cheese (it's easy for me, being in France gets me all kinds of delicious cheese for cheap =D) and finally some pre-made tomato sauce or some other sauce.
Just boil the pasta as per instructions on the package, take off the water then join both the sauce and pasta and you are ready to go =D

You are looking for Thai Fragrant Rice. It's fairly easily available in supermarkets in the UK, but I don't know about the ones at your side.
Avoid Long Grain Rice (although I have friends who succeeded somehow) because those are extremely starchy and will make your fried rice sticky.

I shy away from deep-fried food because they tend to be oily (and unhealthy), but it's convenient. Usually tasty as long as nothing is burnt. I don't like fried fish though.
The only exception I'll ever grant to fried food is... Schnitzel!

I suck at cooking so much that I can't even make a scrambled egg properly.

More practice, as the first step towards perfection (or I should say... improvement).

I can cook instant noodles... and boil eggs.
I could probably fry eggs too, but I haven't done it out from under adult supervision yet.

I went grocery shopping for myself yesterday. That was remarkably weird.
Red Peppers are expensive as fu'ck right now and that makes me sad.

Asparagus in season now! =D=D=D
Made duck stew... well... it rather failed because it's not thick enough to be a stew... so it's duck soup. But man... it's so good! I left it to cook on low heat from 11+pm to 7+am. Excellent!
