I might be getting into this game (why...)

Anything I should know as a beginner?

-Don't panic.
-Pretty much all of the 450 IP champions are relatively strong choices for what they do.
-This game has a relatively high burden of knowledge. The best way to learn it all is to play. Which means dealing with griefers and crap players and getting used to losing. My losses outnumbered my wins for about 200 played games. I also have a lowish level smurf that can join in the fun.

At low levels your opponents are going to constantly attack, pushing the lane right up to your tower. So I won't say "never attack minions unless it's the last hit" since your tower might take a bit of a beating, but you want to time those last hits as often as possible. Last hitting is how you get money. Kills are great and all, but last hitting is so disgustingly important. Having more money faster than your opponents gets you way ahead.
-If all else fails, play cool. Not dying is more important than killing.

He's not even a top priority pick anymore either. That's why I'm asking if I missed something, because Shen is no longer insta-ban, nor is he a "AMG HE NOT BANNED! GET SHEN!" type of deal either. He seems to have fallen down to 4th / 5th pick placement now. I didn't think the changes / nerfs were THAT bad. O_o

I've known forever that Anivia can achieve almost -50% AS debuff with a single spell cycle, but I've never actually seen it clearly matter in a fight until now. I had a jolly good time as I saw Vayne standing in my ult like an idiot trying to shoot me xD

That game, I got mad deeps. Decided to wager my luck with a Leviathan, managed to get to 20 stacks (640 HP from stacks and 15% straight up DR), and I capped off my items with a Guardian Angel. I already had Archangel Staff, Rod of Ages, and Rabadon's Deathcap. Anivia joins the ranks of the beefy bruisers!

I've known forever that Anivia can achieve almost -50% AS debuff with a single spell cycle, but I've never actually seen it clearly matter in a fight until now. I had a jolly good time as I saw Vayne standing in my ult like an idiot trying to shoot me xD

Thank you for triggering in my mind that Randuin's would be a way better choice than my usual "Need armor-> get Sunfire" against Vayne and following up with a Frozen Heart might even be worthwhile. Of course I'll have to start remembering to use the active.

you can pay for champions with game currency. if you want skins for that certain champion you pay real money on it.

Also to note there is 10 free champions that changes every week and you start with no champs.

Though I have to admit, this game was somewhat not fair. 2 of the 5 people on the other team constantly dced, which screwed up the enemy team in the long run. Swain, Rumble, and the Blitz were the ones that tried to make the best of things.

Though me and Vayne got fed; as a result, it was obvious the game was decided in our favor by the time mid-game phase started. At one point, while supporting our WW in stealing the enemy's blue buff, I had intended to go to their wolf camp and eat one of them to get my 6th Feast stack. To my surprise, my jaws accidentally clamped upon the enemy Irelia who was there. I made quick work of her afterwards.

How many ranked games do I need to play before my own ELO shows up? (aka the one I can see personally even if I fall below 1200 ELO, not the ranking that everyone can see if I go above 1200 ELO)

what it is is you earn a in game currency called ip for playing matches, you get double ip for a win daily, in turn you use that ip to buy champions that you are interested in. Or also there is currency called rp which requires real money that you can use... Champs can be bought with either rp or ip, skins for the champions are rp only.

LoL is a free game. Riot - the publisher who created the game - has stated in the past that the game will and will always remain free, funded through microtransactions (a la through people purchasing Riot Points)

There is no pay 2 win in LoL. Only pay for style.

I mean *cough* whenever she tried to get close to me, I smacked her in the face with a snowball. Other than level 6, it basically went downhill for her. I even ganked top lane.

She's been messing me up pretty well on Singed when I don't have a DPS there to kill her. No damage output on Singed :<

You'll like this Spidey- Runes (which you shouldn't worry about until level 20) are an item that lightly affect in-game play. They cannot be purchased with RP, only the in-game currency IP. Think Nexon would ever do that?

IP can take a long time to earn though, so if you find yourself really enjoying the game and wanting a ton of champions at your disposal, I'd take a peek at the champion bundles they have. Most people just try some new champions that are free each week in custom or bot matches and see who they like.

Well i decided to Rush Razors instead of sheen because:

A)The proc help me farm minions faster since she takes a fuckwhile to kill minions alone.
B)The Extra armor help her a little since shes so fucking fracking Squishy
C)I can build it later into bloodrazor and do 4% hp per hit and 8%hp+70 True damage every Third hit.

Also her synergy with Sheen isn't that great like other chars (Like Ezreal,GP or MF) because tumble animation last for about 0.7-1sec, if you have 1-2.5ASP you are actually losing DPS by doing tumble just to get sheen proc (Unless you are chasing in which case tumble can help you get that so needed last hit on a fleeing enemy).

I decided to build razors>boots(Zerkers most of the time, but like all boots entirely situational)>Black Cleaver>Wits End (If there is a caster giving you trouble)/Sword of the divine (For Dodge chars since they shut you down stupidly easy)/Banshee Veil (See Wits end but a little more effective)/Frozen Heart-Thormail(For AD champions)>BloodRazor>Stark Fervor or any other ASP Item>ASP Item/Defense item depending of your needs.

Thornmail would be better. With the help of Kaj and Purp, I have developed a TANK DIAGRAM, AKA A TANKAGRAM (remember that I don't use mana items due to Shen)

Thornmail is for ranged DPS.
Sunfire Cape is for melee DPS.
Banshee's Veil is my main item to reduce magic damage.
Randuin's is for physical damage in general, generally fucks the squishies over when I dash over to them and use the active.
Force of Nature is the second MRes item I get, usually don't end up getting it.
Every team should have one Aegis, but since I'm not necessarily in the lane with teammates all the time I don't really use it.

I'll add more if I remember. I guess Frozen Heart is good against physical DPS too? ?_?
