Eddikins Wrote:So my friend just played Vayne in a normal with me.

Im not seeing where all the QQ is coming from. The enemy team had Kat and Xin, and yeah Vayne was doing damage, but they would just jump her and kill her in seconds, so why are people saying she has no counter ._.

If Xin charges her, tumble away and E to push him away.
If Kat ports to her, tumble away and E to push her away.
If both jumped Vayne, she was caught out of position and deserved to die.

I'm not disagreeing with you that Vayne has no counters, because her super squishyness definitely hurts.

Quote:Bah im tired of peole saying "Play bots till you are good with your fu'cking champ before you try normals", Stupid bots only teach you how to build and see how your champion is, it doesn't teach you how to play against other champs or other Players for that matter.

So true, even when I was practicing with Noct, the bots playstyle made it impossible for me to even use my Paranoia Ult in 95% of situations.
Sooooo i keep sucking balls with vayne, little to no improvement lolz.

I wonder why every fucktard i play with thinks vayne is op?
lolol i just did a 3v3 with 2 friends..

Enemy team = Mord, Amumu, Cho Gath.

I played Eve for funsies cos i know Twisted Treeline is retarded and certain champs can dominate so easily... I ganked mord twice top, and then they all just went bot and pushed and we couldnt do anything.

Not sure if a 12 minute game could be considered worth it, but it was pretty stupid.
Now i see why people consider Vayne Op, she destroy Melee people that don't have any decent approach move (Like Xin, Tryn, Etc).

Thats a Stupid reason to call her OP though.

Also: Somebody know if her W True Damage Procs Lifesteal,Spellvamp or none?
To redeem myself with eve i just did a 5v5

I thought i was doomed at the select screen. Vayne, Eve, Kayle, Lane Shaco and Miss Fortune.

Too bad i ganked both solos and then the duo lane Annie and Cait would exchange buying oracles, i guess assuming id initiate. Too bad i went in after other people so they were preocupied Smile
Apparently Thornmail doesn't work on Vayne's silver bolts. As a person who tanks almost every game, I have exactly zero ways to stop a Vayne short of not getting HP, which severely cripples my play considering that means no Banshee's, Randuin's, or Sunfire.

Not doing so well with Udyr right now. :\
Haven't tested, word of mouth.

You mean like, the 100 armor isn't taken into account, or the 30% reflection doesn't work?
I played as rammus against one earlier and had no real problems. I just waited to maximize on my HP stat until a bit later in the game than usual. He has innate damage return from any auto attack even if it's laced with silver. Frozen heart if you can fit it into your build is sexy against her as well with it's attack speed reduction on hit.

Well, it's true damage, so the armour obviously isn't. I was talking about the reflection.

Shen has no use for Frozen Heart, and its attack speed reduction is an aura, the on-hit one is Randuin's. I was talking about reflecting the damage done by silver-tipped arrows, not the autoattack.
The only way to stop true damage in general is to have more hp X_X.

Thank god Cho'Gath has really good HP.
Ordinarily, yes. It doesn't work when it's a percentage of your health.

Vayne's true damage is percent-based, which means stacking HP against her has very little meaning if you keep getting triple-hitted by her auto+tumble+Condemn combo. Still, Armor and HP works against the rest of her damage. I'm going to say that the best way to deal with this is either with your team, or you just pile on top of her via rambo style and kill her, since you're not getting away in a prolonged chase if you have no CC escapes or jumps.

Banshee's Veil and most likely other spellshields blocks Silver Bolts's true damage component. I'm not sure what happens when she procs Silver Bolts with Condemn though.

Oh yeah I forgot you only play shen for tanks... I haven't had any problems with her on any characters to be honest. She is about as squishy as they come and has little escape, her silver tipped arrows really aren't as much as everyone makes them out to be. It all in all equals out to be like a free madreds bloodrazor that you don't mitigate with MR. If you are mitigating her auto attack damage with armor then it really shouldn't be much of an issue as a tank. Hiten style from irelia does more true damage until late game than vayne does.

You need to get some rammus btw! Smile
I've considered Rammus, Powerball looks like something that takes time to master.

Typically with my Irelia I don't max Hiten Style until lvl 18. I find that its damage just isn't that good compared to the other two skills at her disposal, and her ult makes the healing from Hiten Style very insignificant. It's either ult for health, or push a lane like crazy.

EDIT: Keep forgetting to mention this, but that game near noon time with you, me, dante, and two others had something I wanted to talk to you about. Before they surrendered, Warwick and Veigar were chasing you down middle lane. I knew Warwick would want to ult you the first chance he got, so I saved my Equilibrium Strike. Apparently he was warry of my counter response to his ult. You got quite a bit of a way back to the other side after ghosting, but then when you turned around and Rune Prisoned him, I was like "damnit Duel why'd you do that" and slapped E on him in hopes of slowing him down. But then you decided to turn around anyways, and first thing that came to my mind was "Exhaust or he's dead."

Moral of the story: know champion abilities and their cooldowns plz!

EDIT2: Based on LoL Replay, I took Cait's ult in the face to save your ass after WW died.

Cause she's one of thos characters that punishes you for making mistakes.
Thus she gets fed easily.

Rayquaza2233 Wrote:I've considered Rammus, Powerball looks like something that takes time to master.

Ehh.
Not really, just avoid stuff.
However, it is good to learn the duration, so you can get a maximum sped when ganking from the brush or from a bit away.

shouri Wrote:Void staff has 70AP, so the roa's got 53 AP over it in your scenario.

But with an enemy at 150 mres (-60% magical damage), a void staff knocks it down to 90mres (-47% magical damage). An overall benefit of x1.32 damage.

53 AP is only a x1.32 AP boost if you had around 160AP before hand. Any more than that and the 53 AP isnt as big of a damage boost (not to mention AP ratios of .7 or now down to .6)

If you're the only magic dps and (as such) the enemy team isn't building too much mres... then sure the RoA will net you a better benefit, but only marginally. But once you start causing the other team trouble, they'll build at least 1 mres item (such as banshees). And then you'll at least want some mpen over moar AP.

Well, sure you get some more net damage, but since karthus passive is getting nerfed I'd rather get more survivability.
Still working on a "taunt Vayne and not die" operation with Shen. The best I can think of is Thornmail, Sunfire, and Randuin's, which is a lot of armour items for one person. =.=
