DC while fighting Von Leon

While fighting Von Leon and trying to mob, my maple client randomly crashes - it closes without any error messages. This happens both on my bishop and BM, on two different computers, usually when trying to mob everything. This has also happens to another bishop in the expedition. Does anyone know why this happens or how to avoid it?

I had same last 2 times i fought him, id like to know if theres any way to avoid it also.

My "Memory (Private Working Set)" on Task Manager for MapleStory.exe shoots up to 950k-1m++ K at VL if that says anything =/, however I don't DC myself..[/SIZE]

Thanks, that thread was really helpful. I had a feeling it had to do with the mobs, but I didn't realize it was a memory leak issue. I will try chatting less and see how that goes.

It's strange how some people get the error and others don't. Both my computers and my friends computers are on 32-bit OSes. By any chance, are you running on a 64-bit OS?

I had submitted a ticket about this shortly after it came out and here's the response I got:

We appreciate you taking the time to report this issue. After internal testing we have confirmed this issue and have forwarded the relevant information. The issue is now pending investigation. We ask that you please be patient while we look into the possible solutions to this issue.

Don't usually get a ticket response like this so IDK, but even if the cause is due to a memory leak, just do what we had to do before and disable your sound card before booting up maple and see if that helps. I think I'm going to try that soon.

Maybe its an XP issue but, we tried disabling sound card before for some tests. Our rushers still D/C (that includes me if I rush on DB), I haven't seen any job that has a rushing skill not D/C yet when holding the mobs at bay, this includes Arans too. Crashing from too many mobs on screen when you max out mobs though seems to be a different case. Again, I don't know if it works better on Vista/Win7 because their compatibility thing seems to have screwed around with some XP users. You can test if theres any different results though on those. One of my friends used to solo VL on paladin but now crashes when he tried to max out mobs so yeah, Von Leon just has too many gimmicks that need fixing.

For my BaM though, I need to figure out some way to work around the potential lock issue, unless I go borrowing somebody's vip staff but then my damage would suck =/. I know a friend and I will d/c on the 2nd potential lock buff if we try to use our elemental staves and it gets turned off. The first time is ok, you just end up being not able to attack or cast buffs, the 2nd time and you crash. The old dispelling MW + your weapon coming off crash bug seems to be still around, but in our case its the potential lock which kills all our % luk and % all stat potentials.
