Preparing for the AP World History Exam

This year, I decided to take it upon myself to give the AP World History exam a try. My school doesn't offer a course, although they offer a similar World Cultures course- only it's missing a small amount of the content that the AP World History tests on (European history- left mostly out for the European history course to handle- and early western history) and it's not tailored to preparing students for the AP level (easier test questions than those you'd expect of an AP course) and being able to take the test. I heard that this was a pretty popular test that students in my school take without having taken the actual course. I did really well in AP Modern European History, thought I had a feel for an AP history exam, and took Honors World Cultures; so I decided to give it a shot.

I've been grinding through the Princeton Review for the past few weeks as well as borrowed a World Cultures textbook to read again. So far, I feel like I've been getting the facts down. I feel like I'm going to do pretty well with the multiple choice, but right now, I'm worried about the essays. I've got no experience with the "additional document(s)" portion of the DBQ and I haven't really had much experience with having my comparative and change-over-time/continuity essay graded.

Would anyone happen to have experience with this exam, and if possible, the same experience as me where this course isn't offered and want(ed) to take the AP Exam for this test? In addition, would anyone happen to have model essays on hand or be willing to grade and give feedback on my essays from my review book?

like any other esay question, the DBQ askss you to cite additional sources. These can be maybe 50% of the sources that they give you as well as additional knowledge (i.e. things that aren't in the documents, but from your learning). Simply answer all parts of the question and you should be completely fine.

I've only taken the mock exam, and I didn't do to hot on it. Granted, teacher said she graded it harder than the actual exam, but still. DBQ should be cake if you read it thoroughly (Botched on that, prompt said to track social trends as well as economic).

Seems similar to the APUSH test.

For the DBQ, use as many sources as possible (make sure that the sources you use are within the given time period), but also use as much outside sources as possible. 50% should be documents and 50% should be outside sources.
