Coin Exploit
I sent a ticket with the video and saying that the hack started Monday May 2nd (which it kind of did) and that it would be best to rollback.

If they rolled back that far I would quit for quite a long time, and I'm sure a lot of people would do the same... so no thanks.
Saturday morning would be fine. Chaos scrolls didn't start crashing hard until then.

If it rollbacks to monday im seriously gonna shoot someone at nexon... i made so much progress on my dagger Tongue might not get as lucky with scrolls and PMC's. But I really think they is no option left =x they need to rollback, i cant believe they left it this long........

In some cases, I sort of hope it does rollback to Monday (or at least Tuesday) but in other cases I hope it doesn't.

If they roll back even to this morning, I quit. I did not just spend all this nx to get my glove unique for it to be taken away.

Huh, so they're aware of the problem. Good to know.
They should do a quick patch and set the NPC sellback value of all maple related items to 1. Honestly I'm not sure why they didn't do that in the first place. It's not like anyone normal would NPC the things anyway.

You know with Chaos scrolls and Pinks being this cheap. They might as well patch and completely wipe all of them. Even if legits have them, it was less than a million a scroll. They'd also have to make sure to ban anyone with over a certain amount of coins, if not permanently, at least till it's impossible to turn them in.

Who decides that threshold though? It's entirely possible to get ~100 coins an hour legitimately just from killing certain monsters and turning in the drops.

Then just wipe coins with the rest and restart the entire event.

Which is also a bad idea, because as it stands, most of the hackers will probably have already turned in their coins, and that solution would mostly hurt the people who obtained their loot legitimately.

Really theres no way to solve this problem without hurting most of the playerbase.

Hackers would have turned in their coins for Chaos scrolls and Pinks. If they hoarded any they would be gone. If legits bought one or two, it's only a few hundred thousand on their end. If they bought thousands, they obviously knew the risk involved and they can hardly complain when the other option is banning.

Of course i think they should still ban anyone who's used those packets (I'm 100% sure they have ways of tracking this because of the last few mesos exploits) or at least ban people with well over 1K coins/1k Pinks etc

Bad idea for many reasons:

1. Patching the sell back price would not fix the hack. It would only make it so that meso sellers would be slowed down from mass creation of mesos.
2. It would require a complete repatch of the WZ files.
3. It would screw legitimate players

The best way to fix the hack is to include what's taken from your inventory as part of a server-sided script and not part of a packet that can be edited client-side.

Easiest way to go would be an EXE patch which requires no version up.

so basically they know about the exploit and are trying to find a fix, but letting it continue until that said fix is found. for christs sake take the game down and just extend everyone cs items by 24hrs and everyone will be happy.

But the legitimate players aren't NPCing their maple weapons, they're selling them in the free market. Nobody with half a brain would be NPCing maple gear.

....really?

I'm NPCing them. Does that mean I have half a brain?
