Why don't we fundraise for a SP server?

I'm interested in an SP server, too. It'd be fun, mostly because it's boring playing by myself.

I have my own server if you guys want to use it, as long as no griefing comes of it. (Pretty serious about this) We have that Runecraft mod on it so you can make your own floating islands and warps and crap.

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll talk it over with my girlfriend.

Linking the Wiki is a bit much - there are a lot of bits of information, not a clear starting space.

Biggest tip I could give: Learn how the mechanics work. Understand how water works. Understand how lava works. Understand what Minecarts and boosters are. Understand how mobs spawn. Just think to yourself "How does ____ work?" while playing and then search the Wiki, Google, or ask here.

Cobblestone is a good thing to start with. It's pretty Creeper-proof. This page has a list of explosion-resistance. Anything above 3 should be good IIRC.

Best thing to do is to watch a video (if you're a visual learner like me).
Watch a video from SeaNanners, or whoever the popular minecrafter is these days.

Anywho, anyone use a nice 16x16 or 32x32 texture pack? I trying looking at planet minecraft but alot are pomegranate and the good ones are incomplete.

Creepers only explode when their face gets near you. Place your door while standing outside and don't go out at night. If you have a flat roof, light it up. There you go, your wool house is now creeper proof.

I found one of those. Also found a black and light gray sheep.

Black are really common. Grey a bit less, but still plenty of them.

I have not seen a Pink one yet....

On the SMP server I play on I've found two brown sheep.

Are two separate portals in the main world supposed to take you to the same portal in The Nethers?
