actually the problem is that Nexon doesn't seem to care enough to stop them. any company that makes the amount of money they do could easily pinpoint the problem and stop it immediately, but it just doesn't seem like they care.

They probably don't care. Moreover, Nexon doesn't hire programmers, they hire content makers. I'm almost positive they don't have anyone on staff with on the spot debugging capabilities. Most likely, they have to report the said problem to their Korean counterparts just to get a fix. And guess what? Their Korean counterparts focus more on content making, too. It's a lost cause.

it was different, but in a way the same kind of event. (exchange event item for scroll) they should either make different kinds of events or learn how to prevent stuff like this cus it's kind of sad

I don't care actually about the exploiters, because the game has become so unfair to anyone who doesn't buy nx, cubes can almost 6x your damage without any effort at all just get a good 3 line equip and cube, with it you can even solo cygnus empress..., other games have micro transactions payments methods too but maple has just reach the limit of unfairness, for example i play grand chase and i can play there without any problem at all and i dont have nx, i can pvp with players with tons of cash and sometimes i win, in maple if you are a DB who payed for nx books or have nx you can solo every pineaple boss you want and kill whoever you want except other nx hardcore players, i think they should make every item from events untradeable to fix this situation in the future so if someone cheat the game you can just check their items and ban them, they should just shut down the MTS c'mon almost any dupe or exploit case is related to it, it doesnt matter if it is to evade the roll back or just dupe the MTS needs to get out and bring the cash room now, Something i want to say is that everything the KMS people do is very clever if you think about it, they created the new profession on chaos just to give the poor man option to cube, they don't have MTS because of this situation, they created lhc to remake the old party train, but what does NaNexon they just destroy that, i am okay with tour areas *lol masterya lol* but why do they have to do something totally contradictory to the ones that create the base content of the game.

At this time, there is no reason to panic. We all know this has happened before, and Nexon does an excellent job of taking care of it. A rollback is the last thing they want to do.

if they did such a great job of taking care of it they would make it so this couldnt happen again, you'd figure they'd be able to learn from some mistakes.

yes very very bad chaos indeed lol, heres what im thinking:
- hackers exploit pvp to pk players outside of pvp area
- hackers exploit pvp recipe
- hackers mass dupe angelic rings
- hackers mass lvl up personality
- hackers etc etc....

Is there honestly no way to stop these things from happening ever? We know Nexon wont hire expert programmers or more GM's or more just personal to do something about this situation because it would cut down on their profits so is there really nothing that can be done?

It is really sickening how hacking has got so bad that hackers got no shame to admit and flaunt what they do even out of MS, like in forums like these.

5,500 mesos: 5 coins. = 1,100 mesos per 1 coin.
9,600 mesos: 10 coins = 960 mesos per 1 coin
30,000 mesos: 20 coins = 1,500 mesos per 1 coin.
33,000 mesos: 25 coins = 1,320 mesos per 1 coin.
Chaos Scroll: 1,000,000 mesos: 25 coins = 40,000 mesos per 1 coin.

Your best bet if you wanted a "meso exploit" would be to use the level 64 weapons, which involve around 4 turn ins. It just isn't worth it. Your best bet would be around 700m-900m per 24 hours of botting, which is extremely slow and not even worth doing. You're honestly better off having auto-loot on.

There's little to no Packet Editors/PEs available in KMS.

Chaos Scroll: 1,000,000 mesos: 25 coins = 40,000 mesos per 1 coin.

Chaos Scrolls are only 15 coins.

This is also assuming you have 900 or less morons who will actively buy the chaos scrolls even with this exploit running amok. I'm pretty sure there's tens of thousands of chaos scrolls in the FM even as we speak.

Why do people hack?
-Because they're impatient and if there's a faster/cheaper/easier way to do it, they'll do it. Its like the fast pass lane in theme parks.
-There are no "moral" grounds within a game that is created for children. I have cousins that are 12 years old that think they're so pro for hacking, and actually laugh and have fun at other people's expense. It's kind of sad, but that's they even play this game for. There's no real obligations to doing it "right" for them.
