Incidentally, it was thanks to ghost D/C being released to the public that got it patched (or made auto-bannable). Since Nexon doesn't patch hacks until they're being abused by a huge majority of illegit players, this is arguably for the better.

Not always the case. Channel crashes are never public and get patched. Ghost DC has been around since v7x and it got patched 20 versions later. I don't think that example glorified your point, but I understand what you're saying.

It was first with the leveling up event (chaos+that bandana), then with xmas hill event. There is ALWAYS some exploit in these events.

Honestly, I'm really really irritated.

Just last week all my guildies, myself were cheerfully going on about how great it was to finally be able to make money at a decent rate.

Now hackers are once again going to screw us in the butt with deflation. The only beneficiaries being the ones who's already rich enough to buy the godly items which result from this. Also: Why the hell hasn't nexon learned from the LAST 9001 TIMES AN EXPLOIT OF THIS KIND OCCURED AND DID SOMETHING BEFOREHAND?

Ah, smart move by the hackers. Starting this up right as the weekend starts so that Nexon is away enjoying their Las Vegas trips and unable to really stop the exploit until Monday or so, where the damage will be massive that rollback is inevitable. Not to mention that it would be foolhardy to erase all Maple weapons, because then anybody who legitimately got them will be raging too (yet, another factor well-timed by hackers), so it is either compensation MP or 2x event... Guess hackers need that refill of NX or need their boost in levelling, hahaha...

MTS doesn't rollback... so its simple Put item in MTS wait for rollback get 2 of that item

They're not going to roll back. So what if chaos scrolls are 2m now, remember when people duped White Scrolls and nothing was really done aside from the pets in the hill map? The impact is far too small to warrant one. If anything, a large influx of Pink Scrolls and Chaos will enter the market (which isn't even that bad because they're already at low prices) and Nexon will hell-ban those that deserve it.

Personally, I think the white scroll incident is worse.

Has anyone even posted about this in the Nexon forums? The best we can do is let them know (aka getting their attention with a big enough thread in the forum) and they can get straight on the issue right away.

theres been a mass influx of chaos scrolls in windia. someone is smega'ing that they are selling them for 3.2m each, a shop 2 away from mine is selling them for 400m for a stack of 100 (4m each). he had around 500 chaos scrolls.

all this will do is deflate the price of chaos scrolls. i don't think hackers have the patience to scroll a perfect weapon with 20% scrolls.

Haha everyones selling chaos scrolls for 7-10mil each and look at m.. i mean my friend selling them for 1.5-2m

Okay.
Not every hack "rollsback", the perfect pitch exploit did not rollback. If a hacker's incentive is to cause a rollback by making things public they are doing it wrong.. MTS duping is very difficult to an extent, and it isn't worth releasing to the public.

1. Nexon releases an event involving getting some items that get exchanged for good stuff.
2. Hackers find an exploit and run the prices to the ground.
3. ????
4. No profit for anyone.
