I'm guessing this depends on some external program, not just something done in game (probably some packet editting so the server thinks you have the correct item).

Most likely public awareness. Flaunting crap like this doesn't really surprise anyone. Everyone who's done past Nexon events (that involved item trading) knew there was gonna be an exploit or something of the nature with this event. It's good to know (and be aware) so that we don't get unjustly banned by Nexon for buying something these exploits may have produced.

I ask myself, is the game even playable? We've just got through the channel crashs, now this comes to either destroy the economy or a rollback.. sigh. Nexon aren't what they were before.. looked as a small company, they've grown but they still aren't trying to prevent such hacks to break the game for legit players. Since they'll still be buying NX even with these problems happening I doubt they'll ever prevent these hacks.

Guess it was a good thing for me to just log in for that maple medal then just log off the game after all..

Man this sucks.......I hope they do rollback to be honest. All the hard work people put in for farming coins just goes down the drain. Destroys all the prices for anything you can buy with coins. Nexon should just hire hackers to find exploits, because they obviously can't find them themselves.

i meant that the 6 days i spent collecting scrolls for future use and/or resell, were spent in vain because now hackers can get even more scrolls than before (which they did by botting) and the profit i would earn would be minimal

Incidentally, it was thanks to ghost D/C being released to the public that got it patched (or made auto-bannable). Since Nexon doesn't patch hacks until they're being abused by a huge majority of illegit players, this is arguably for the better.
