Most of the time they manage to fix one crash type, and a new one just takes it's place.

Should just cut to the chase and eliminate packet spamming all together like they did with that "ghost" DC and autoban anything that spams at unnatural speeds, cause nothing in MapleStory sends packets at the speeds hackers use.

I'm not sure how lag and packet sending works but I'm pretty sure packets are sent at the same speed, feel free to correct me if otherwise, even then you're not sending packets at 1-100 ms a packet... Nothing legitimate ever sends packets that fast.

I would hazard a guess that during lag no packets are sent, and then when the backlog of packets are sent at once it could look 'unnatural'

^Pretty much this.
It's why people get disconnected for the "Hack" reason. Their clients spammed the server with packets because once their connection resumed, they all got sent at once. There's really nothing that can be done to fix that. It's simply how the internet works.

Pretty much what Dark Link said. Let the hackers keep doing their channel crashing bs. Eventually the ways left will require so much shyt just to do it, it won't even be worth it.

While clients may have a legitimate reason to spam packets to the server due to lag, there's no reason for the server to repeat what it receives (i.e. the spam) to other clients to cause the DC. Pretty much every single DC method out there relies on the fact that the server would gladly send out whatever illegit packets it receives.

You wanna send a spouse chat to someone even though they aren't married? Sure why not.
You wanna send an expedition invite to someone who's already in an expedition? Go right ahead.

How about some sanity checks Nexon? Every other game out there does it. The first rule of the client/server model is NEVER TRUST THE CLIENT.

they should stop transfers period until they try to get rid of a good amount of duped items and the channel crashing. the transfers are only hurting them.
