I dunno the difference either, don't worry. I can only tell what lolicore is because of the KAWAII ^^ voices thrown in and usually more ear killing sounds. And the artists usually have names that have "loli" or "pomegranate" in it. Sometimes a combination of both. They also have amusing song titles. Still complete and utter pomegranate though.

Dubstep falls under the same tent as techno. What strike me as the defining characteristics are a relatively slow BPM and a "dirty" sounding bass. I haven't gone looking for much dubstep, but these are two I've encountered that I like:
