That's more or less what I was saying in vent around when it was on the news. I should be glad that he's gone and such, but the glee that the news stations took in it somehow felt wrong.

Mark Twain apparently said: "I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure."

Which sums up my views on the matter. I would have rather seen him rot in a cell, but whateverr.
Good on you America. Keep celebrating your triumph like it's entirely on you, because no other country in the world played any part whatsoever.

You relish in your triumph. We'll relish in ours. If you'd like to have fun with the fact that forces from your country are over there, please do so.
I don't like them there. I don't want them there. However I'm still paying for them to be there. Also, neither America nor anyone else has won anything.
Eh... i try not to think about the way America works.

9/11 sure was a disaster, people died, and obviously thats a bad thing, but they then used it as an excuse to go and get "revenge", and this is exactly what it feels like, they killed him for revenge. I haven't seen anything about Osama Bin Laden for years now, so America really hasn't 'done' anything for a while, but the threat of terrorism was still there. Now they have targeted him out and killed him, and no matter what we think, people out there will see him as a martyr, and he wasn't the only terrorist.

I imagine this is just going to make things worse, and America is celebrating and doing their usual "America Rules, you all suck" speeches, i just hope they are prepared for whatever retaliation comes their way.

Because we all know that if their IS retaliation, America won't shut up about it until they get MORE revenge, and then more celebrating, and then more retaliation.

(Sorry if this post wasn't very well written, i've just woken up)
WillDaSnail Wrote:Negative. It will still continue, but killing Bin Laden is pretty much cutting off the head of the Al Qaida organization.

I kind of threw around predictions - to myself - about which U.S. special operations forces pulled it off. It was either U.S. Army's Delta Force, CIA's SAD (Special Activities Division) or U.S. Navy SEALs. Looks like Navy SEALs got the kill, according to defense officials speaking on anonymity.

Yea it looked more like a SEALs op.
Who said anything about having won something? It's merely a great step forward.

I can't read. Ignore.

Bin Laden is the focal point of terrorism here. You can hardly mention the word "terror" without mentioning him in America.
-looks outside people marching yelling america-

Me: Oh for f'ucks sake.

They've been outside since 2 AM GO TO BED.

Because the US is totally the only country that would do such a thing after an attack was made on their soil of the porportions 9/11 was.
Im only scared because now im reading there is a bigger threat that the UK will have another 7/7 fiasco.
FoolsLove Wrote:Because the US is totally the only country that would do such a thing after an attack was made on their soil of the porportions 9/11 was.
I'm not saying it's just America that would do that, but America is the country that it happened too, i wasn't going to say France or Sweden, because they have nothing to do with this.
America was the point of my post, it wasn't the target.
I'm sure if it had happened to any other country though, the reaction would have been far less

The bomb threat supposedly in Europe? Yeah that was a wikileaks thing.

GOOD RIDDENCE. pineapple they should be greatful we appeased their stupid ass religious bull pomegranate and not take him back to mutilate his body.

A man is killed.

And the politicians will say "behold the bad guy, dead by our righteous hands." And the good hearted people will rejoice and sleep in their beds and know justice exists in this world. And the few will lord over the many. And the wars will continue. And bombs will still fall. And people will still die. And one day a McDonalds will stand where once a missile struck like lightning. And an orphan will super-size your meal for an extra dinar.

Celebrate all you want, it won't change much.

Wrong. Real good hearted people would feel compassion for the death of a human. Real good hearted people.
