Wait, there is goes. They just posted the Usama deal.

Guess I'll see more about this on the daily show tomorrow.

his funeral is gonna be the bomb
#88
I doubt there will be major retaliation. If we have too, we'll most likely just bomb whatever we can.

I expected Michael Bay explosions and a switch to a camera focused on Obama's face as he bad-assedly walked away from the exploding podium without turning around.

Will this suffice?

Haha.

It was the first thing I thought of when he died. Then I checked my FB feed and even "The Church of Madoka" posted the same thing. Posted this on Twitter and I had a bunch of responses lmfao.

While this is a successful turn of events, I'm not fond about how it's being over celebrated. It's disgusting, really.

Yeah, the U.S.A's are a tad too much.

He was a disgusting human being. Let people celebrate the removal of him from this planet.

But then I agree with this more.

1. Cannot overestimate the importance of this news in the field of international politics. Can, however, overpositively react to it. Celebratory chants of "U.S.A." in front of the White House, when it took 10 years and 80,000 deaths to accomplish? Give me a break.

2. Frustrated that this had to be announced at this time and date by the President himself. It's something people could wait to hear when they get up on Monday, aka something to announce early Monday morning. Honestly the only major reasons I see for this statement even happening now are (a) Obama needs to say it to the world before anyone else (ex. other world leaders), and (b) newspapers need to meet their headline deadlines. The latter is a joke, of course, since newspapers are quickly dying and everyone found out about this via Twitter before even news stations were reporting it.

3. In line with the above frustration: my first thought when I heard that the President himself would make a late-night statement about a major national security matter on a Sunday? Bioterror attack. My Dad's when I called him? Either we invaded somewhere or someone invaded us.

NOPE, WE JUST KILLED A GUY. THANKS FOR FREAKING OUT, AMURRICA.

It happens to be the night before finals start here on campus, meaning it's midnight scream time. Except there are dozens of people out in the courtyard between dorms alternating between God Bless America, the anthem, and USA! USA! chants. It's... surprisingly obnoxious.
