then how can you like ff7 more than the sixth? i barely couldn't put up with cloud being so emo all the time, and then dissidia comes and does it again (and again)

besides, cloud never did this:

why thank you, currently i have beaten 3~6, got to abut half of 7 ages ago, but haven't brought myself to emulating it, since i despise emulating what i don't own (which is why most of my attacks are "funny" jabs rather than serious comments) and am beating 2 and will procceed with one afterwards. played several spin-offs, including war of the lions for PSP and FF tactics, which i actually liked, even though it was a tad simplistic (bar that map crap f3)

my favorite is FF5 even though it is clearly not the bes

Get all the PS2 titles mentioned, but FF XII and KHII take priority.

Son, I am. . .

FFT having a squeaky background music? Okay, now I know you're just doing this on purpose.

Hey! High five! I enjoy FF5 and always wondered why so many people hate on it because of it's story.

Also, KHII isn't that great. It is just one massive mini-game.

All these games are generally awesome. I'd pick KH because there's more games which means you get to enjoy the series more. I'd say try FF10 which was a really nice game & blitzball which should be its own game and FF10-2 if you just wanna have fun in an upbeat environment. Of course, 10-2 does have its serious moments.

FF12 is terrible. I've never seen such an annoying protagonist. Also, what's with the Cloud hype? He was pretending to be somebody else and when he found out in the later parts of the game that he wasn't himself he went and became a vegetable. Looking back though, there's not many protagonists in the FF series I like anyway. L> Kuja-like protagonist Big Grin

FF5 wasn't memorable to me. I just remember there not being any tasty diversions (pizza) in the afterlife.

Start with FF Origins.

Are you for real, Kevo? You complain about Vaan and yet suggest Tidus, the infinitely more obnoxious, whiny and overall pathetic protagonist in the series? Final Fantasy X was awful. Vaan is crap but he's tolerable at least, because in spite of him being an afterthought of Nomura trying to destroy Matsuno's work, he still had the foresight not to make him the focus of most of the story.

Even worse is that you follow this all with KUJA. Good grief, boy.

FFXII had great graphics and a nice storyline, but the characters and the battle system are terrible. GOD THE BATTLE SYSTEM

I couldn't put up with the battle system longer than 6 hours. I dropped the game entirely after that, so fucking annoying GAH

I'm loling.

Honestly, though, if you want to play a FF game, I'd reccomend 3-6 or 9. 7 and 8 if you like angst, although I'd go with 8 because of Gilga.

Answering question. FFX-2 or KH2.. FFVII if your feeling retro <- best gamme evaaa

FFVII is also the most overrated game in the history of FOREVER lol
FFX-2 is for the uber fanservice
FFX I really liked due to BLITZBALL!

Haha. I don't really like Tidus either but it's either him of Vaan.

Kuja is such a rarity and I really enjoyed FF9 because of him. I never encountered anybody like him and he really makes me laugh more than I should. Just a strange, personal preference for drama and poetry =P

Well I went to go buy the games and they didn't have neither. They had Final Fanasty X and some other interesting game. The FF is only 2.99 Smile

7 is emo-faggotry with decent gameplay. 8 is more emo-faggotry with fucked up random storyline and horrid drawing gameplay. 9 is pretty good in every aspect. 10 is horrible storyline, horrible main character, but terrific gameplay. 12 is confusing storyline initially, confusing battle system initially, but turns out incredible once you get the hang of it. 13 is sad / confusing storyline with a weird battle system, and is okay overall, but not worth getting too excited for.

Onto kingdom hearts....

Kingdom hearts 1 is confusing storyline with okay battle system, Chain of memories is confusing storyline with good gameplay, both the GBA and PS2 versions. KH2 is awesome overall, though it leaves you with a lot of questions in the end as well. Birth By Sleep is awesome overall, with a good plot and incredible gameplay. Re:coded is horrible in every aspect, don't waste your money on it.

This is just really quick summaries with no detail at all, so take from it what you will. I enjoy and love both series, so don't think I'm leaning towards one side or the other. I'm just trying to give the best objective view of the games as I can.

Every Final Fantasy past 6 and all Kingdom Hearts games are just generic JRPGs with boring combat systems about teenagers with emotional drama issues running around doing generic JRPG stuff. Get neither.
