Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
I really hate retarded team mates.

Went Eve and got like 2 mid ganks. Then my team start bossing me around on which lanes to gank (which were all ungankable with enemies too close to their turret to bother) Someone pings an enemy for me to stun, i go in to stun, the person who pings provides NO HELP and i die, afterwards im told im pomegranate because i died.

Malzahar is mid with noone there, and im bot. 500 pings later from someone im close to mid in stealth. Stealth runs out just as i get to Malzahar... OMG NOOB EVE NO STUN.

Jesus Christ.

E: Same pomegranate just happened again. For some reason I, as Eve, should walk into a team of 5 and stun one person to be helpful. I, as Eve, should attack someone thats very fed because my teammate stupidly walked into them and got 1 shot. I also got told im the worst player ever seen and that i have no idea how to play, which is kind of funny considering i had least deaths because i knew when the pineapple to back out.

Don't knock it till ya try it! If they had a gift system I would do it just to make you play him with me. Tongue

Next time he's free you'll give him a chance eh?
Sigh, just had two dissapointing games. First game, I did jungle WW, and did pretty well. I was at something like 3/0/1 before top tower went down. Bot requests a gank, but they've had their lane pushed the entire game until just then, so I dunno what they wanted me to do before then. I was going to gank down there, but Blitz + Panth = almost instant facecheck death since they didn't want to do it themselves. Anyway, after that, I start building tanky because our tank Taric has decided to build Archangel's first, before any tank items. I explained he needed a tear, and then build tank, but apparently that wasn't what he wanted to do. He needed that AP so badly . . . >_< Anyway, our Brand and Malz were doing pretty well, while our Swain was just kinda meh. Still, we managed to take out all 3 of their front tower while keeping our mid up, that's when things started going bad. The lack of Taric actually tanking meant I had to build tanky so that when I intiated and my ult got interrupted, I'd survive. Still, even without a proper tank, we weren't ever aced, even when we lost team fights, so they couldn't push down too well. Eventually Xin started backdooring turrets, which was a pain, but we were still managing. We even snuck a baron, albeit half our team lost it immediately after in the team fight. Still Malz and Brand kept it and managed to continue to do well. Sometime around here, our Taric decides to AFK while our Swain is busy farming bot lane. <.< 3 v 5 can only go one way even within tower range. I ended the game at like 7/12/18, which considering I ended up tanking and initiating, wasn't that bad at all.

Second game, I go Malphite, and go bottom with Xin . . . and well, things went to hell pretty fast down there. Xin either afks next to tower, in bush, or next to the minions, and then suddenly he'll run in to try and kill Sona + Jax. I go in afterwards to try to save his ass. We both die of course. I'm at like 0/4/1 by the time we start doing team fights, which all kind of suck because Xin either intiates or doesn't participate at all and jungles. <.< I admit I wasn't playing at my best, and probably should have just let him die on his own after the first time, but seriously, that Xin was pissing me off because of his action/inaction. I end up at 0/7/3, which wasn/t too surprising given the way things went, and Xin ends up at 1/7/0, and believe me, that kill was not his, and the only reason he wasn't dead more was due to him not being in several team fights where we could have used him.
I've been thinking. Out of the characters I play, I don't really have anyone with hard CC other than Rammus taunt.
So I've wondered about something, when the jungler requests a gank in the lane I'm in, such as they're in the brush waiting, who initiates? The laner or the jungler?
I dunno, I've always thought the jungler.

Whoever has more CC, I guess.
On a joking note.....

Quote:ScienceDaily (Apr. 28, 2011) — Using advanced DNA analysis and extensive field work, an international research team has confirmed the link between leprosy infection in Americans and direct contact with armadillos. In a joint collaboration between the Global Health Institute at EPFL in Switzerland and Louisiana State University, clear evidence was found that a never-before-seen strain of Mycobacterium leprae has emerged in the Southern United States and that it is transmitted through contact with armadillos carrying the disease. The results will be published on April 28th in the New England Journal of Medicine.

There are only around 150 cases of leprosy in the United States each year. Most of these victims have worked abroad in areas in which leprosy is endemic, making it likely that they may have acquired the disease while outside the US. But, to the alarm of health authorities, a third of all patients infected appear to have contracted the disease locally. The hypothesis that the disease is transmitted though contact with armadillos -- aside from humans, the only other known carriers of the leprosy-causing bacteria -- was confirmed by fine-grained DNA analysis of both armadillo and human samples done at EPFL.

Leprosy bacilli found in armadillos

It has been known since the 1970s that armadillos are potential carriers of the disease, most likely introduced by European immigrants 500 years ago. But the current study shows inter-species contamination and the presence of a unique strain. "There is a very strong association between the geographic location of the presence of this particular strain of M. leprae and the presence of armadillos in the Southern US," explains Stewart Cole, head of the Global Health Institute in Lausanne and world-leader in the field of genomics of leprosy bacilli. "Our research provides clear DNA evidence that the unique strain found in armadillos is the same as the one in certain humans."

The study included 33 wild armadillos known to have the disease and 50 leprosy patients. The new strain of the bacteria, named 3I, was found in 28 armadillos and in 22 patients who reported no foreign residence. The researchers used genome sequencing to identify the new strain and cross check it with other known strains from Europe, Brazil and Asia, and used genotyping to identify and classify the population infected. It became clear that leprosy patients who never travelled outside the US but lived in areas where infected armadillos are prevalent were infected with the same strain as the armadillos. These findings prompted the researchers to state in the article that "Frequent direct contact with armadillos and cooking and consumption of armadillo meat should be discouraged." The study also suggests that armadillo range expansion should be monitored.

It is not known exactly why armadillos contract and carry leprosy. While their low body temperature (89° F / 32° C) makes them perfect incubators for the bacteria, which grow in temperatures between 86° F and 89° F (30° C to 32° C), there are almost certainly other factors such as immune deficiency that also play a role. Similarly, the bacteria attack the extremities of humans because our core body temperature is too high for a generalized infection, and over 90% of humans who come into direct contact with the disease spontaneously fight it off. "The last thing we want is to induce panic in the population and incite a slaughter of armadillos. The best way to combat further infection is though education and prudence," says Cole.

The stigma of leprosy

José Ramirez, a former migrant worker from Houston who contracted the disease after hunting and eating armadillo meat and took part in the study, has consecrated his life to combating social stigmas. He hopes that the study brings to light the stigma attached to leprosy. "We need to take this opportunity to give leprosy patients a voice and to learn to not use the word 'leper' that has negative connotations around the world, a stigma that should be replaced with an understanding of the disease and its causes." Ramirez, who struggled over five years with the disease before it was properly diagnosed, is now disease-free after receiving antibiotic treatment. Proving what few know to be true -- that leprosy is a bacterial infection that can be cured.

First thing that comes to my mind is:

Normally the jungler goes in first, but this varies depending on who can land their cc first/ easier. CC takes priority imo.

I didn't like the old Alistar, good chance I won't like the new one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there RP cards you can buy in stores? If they have codes, you could "gift" me RP that way.

At any rate, I don't like playing tanks in general, and I'm just touching the world of jungling atm.
Dark Link Wrote:So I've wondered about something, when the jungler requests a gank in the lane I'm in, such as they're in the brush waiting, who initiates? The laner or the jungler?

Depends on the situation in lane. Are you low on hp? Do you have mana for the necessary cc/gap closer/other ability? If yes to the first and second, I'd say you can try to bait the enemy to get closer to you. If yes and the no, you're going to have to come in second unless you want to risk giving up a kill to the enemy. And if you're full mana and hp, then obviously you should initiate, let them get half hp, then have the jungler come in if possible. Your goal is to make sure they burn most of their abilities on you so that your jungler can use their red buff/cc to chase and kill them with relative ease. Granted, I've initiated plenty when I've jungled, but I like it when the laner does so first a vast majority of the time. My main reasons for that is that sometimes it scares the enemy into wasting a flash or ghost prematurely, other times they don't use it soon enough and give up an easy kill, and very rarely, they don't need your help at all, they just needed some confidence that you were there in case they screwed up, in which case you've wasted a bit of time, but let the enemy champion know that even without a jungler there, their champion/play is superior. XP

Edit: Oh, there is one exception to the above, if you're ganking a lane with a tank in it, tank always goes first regardless of who has CC and whatnot. They're meant to soak up as much damage as possible after all, and while you don't want to give out kills, they are the best possible person to die in any ganking scenarios that go bad, assuming everyone else on your team makes it out alive as well.
 Spoiler
sadface. Poor team coordination sucks. The enemy would be heading for the base and I recall and ping and hardly anyone takes action. And then the Swain has the nerve to frequently request surrender and go "CMON GUYS SURRENDER OR DO SOMETHING" when he was useless just getting random kills off team fights. Sigh.
At least it was good practice with Irelia for me. I've only used her like four times.
I say, if the target is on the nearest end to your tower (Top and bot) the jungler, if the target is on the middle of the river and near the river end of the enemy tower then the one with the most HARD INSTANT CC should initiate so the jungler have enough time to get to the target land a few hits and start his CC, if you don't have CC then the jungler of course (With RedBuff).

If its on middle the jungler should always initiate unless you have Hard Instant CC too, and try to gank when they are in the middle or near your tower, otherwise the target could escape.

Just my 5cents on the issue.

Talking of rammus.
Has he been nerfed as of late?

Whoo, hotfixes!

Alistar no longer sucks.
Rumble ults no longer jumble up the team colors. (I have yet to see a Rumble actually, but I haven't played normal games yet)
GP's Raise Moral no longer works in wonky ways.
Kayle is no longer uber borked when it comes to hitting Q. Now she's just back to UP.

The latest nerf (couple of months back) was stabbing his other foot very hard. In other words, his Powerball speed was nerfed because his pre-nerf Powerball had the capability to pretty much stop people in their tracks (and people thought that was a bit too OP; IMO it wasnt). In extreme cases, he could chase people across the map.
Is Miss Fortune still Viable for an AD Carry? They keep on nerfing her and when you view the others they just have better stuff over her

Ashe has toggle slow
Corki hits harder and has an Escape
Caitlyn has Escape + Traps
Trist has Escape
Ez has Escape

MF has.. a Slow that barely slows and unless you had Mercs any cc is gonna kill you unless you flash out. I suppose Kogmaw has no escapes but he has better range than MF does..
I wouldn't say MF is a viable carry at the moment, shes been nerfed to hard from the past and with all the tanky dps with gap closers it is so easy to kill her.

The only time its worth playing her is to troll by stacking tiamats and spamming double up.
