3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton

So how's everyone's 3DS doing? Mine's seeing a lot of action. My Mii plaza has a population of 6 =D

Mine has 5 people. 2 Randies, myself and my 2 sisters'. lol

Mine's not getting too much action. "Find Mii" was fun until I found out doing 2 full runs netted you every hat, and the "Puzzle Swap" thing is annoying if you can't find randies, since you have to depend on them to get new puzzle panels if you finished an old one.

Best person I've come accross with streetpass is someone with the same name as my academic tutor, and they look quite similar. Not sure if thats worrying or not

I just walked around downtown and I met 4 or so people.

Went into town today and got my first 2 hits

Question though, do you have to use your streetpass hits straight away in the games without shutting off the system? I did both the puzzle thing and Find Mii with the first one, and then turned off my ds after viewing my 2nd Mii i passed. I just tried to go do the games with the 2nd Mii and it acts like i never swapped Miis with him :l

If you shut off Mii Streetplaza while you have remaining adventurers then you lose them. This is probably to prevent people from hoarding them.

Another game to look forward to! I don't usually like Harvest Moon type games but since this is created by Level-5 and Brownie Brown, which have never let me down, I will probably give it a shot.

Also, it looks like you can move the camera and aim weapons by using the motion sensor.

If anyone wants to really test their 3D, there are some amazing images found here that you can just pop into your 3DS and view via photo viewer. Some of them really have a better 3D effect than what our current games are giving us, which says a lot considering they're screenshots of games for consoles like PS3 and Gamecube that are converted into 3D images.

No-one believes me when I tell them it's 3D, but not the 3D you're used to. Imagine the screen had a box coming out of the back of it and all the action takes place in that box. It's that sort of 3D and it works well.

Although, I wouldn't mind some titles coming out of the screen, if possible. It'd make a change.

Best analogy I've seen so far is:

It's the difference between seeing a video of a fish tank in an aquarium, and actually being at the aquarium to see the tanks in person. The video is relatively flat, even if you can tell the fish are in different positions. But when you're in front of the tank looking at the fish, you can really tell see where their positions are in the tank and how far away one is from another.

Yeah, and in an interview somewhere Pixel said that he may very well be planning a sequel to Cave Story because of how popular it's become and him teaming up with NIS.

Also kinda hoping they make Pleinair as a hidden playable character or something. Doubtful, they'll probably just end the cameos with Prinnies. But Pleinair seems like she'd be a nice idea for a playable character.

My guess is that Quote/Curly will be a DLC character in Disgaea 4. Rejoicing will be had if thats true.
