I'd vote for neither personally, but if you're getting one no matter what, Wriggles is the better choice.
Mind = blown

There was a single blue+red buff being passed along in a bot game. It went back and forth between dudes and peeps up to 11 times! Sadly, it expired on Akali before Warwick Bot dealt the finishing blow with his ult.
Those spotlight videos are getting better and better at making champs look OP. I am interested in getting Rumble.
On a happy note: Phoenix (MoldyOnions) finally can't say he keeps losing games. Biggrin

On a serious note: I was a bit worried when I saw Eve during the loading screen. But that all went away once me and Galio started laning. Within 4-5 minutes, we harassed them so much that Galio got first blood as a result (caught a Nasus out of position). We got Eve a couple of minutes later. I overextended myself a few times during laning phase and got 3 unnecessary deaths.

Once I realized I was making myself look like a f'ucking idiot with those deaths, I started playing like what a real Cho should be played like. A bit later on, I thought this was literally a joke during mid-game phase, but Eve attempts to do her thing with stealth. In the middle of a teamfight amongst Galio, me, and a few others. She did this a few times. This was so bad that I asked if he even knew how to play Eve properly, in a semi-harsh way.

Oh, and not to mention, Eve tries to pull this off on me and Galio during laning phase. Besides the annoying stun, she didn't do a lot of damage; I was like "uh, really?"

And that Amumu. Did so many wrong things. You build armor when you have a couple of AP-based champs that are starting to be team carriers. It might be effective against Corki, but uh, what about everyone else? Something's really wrong if you easily get shot down in 5-6 seconds during teamfights. At least try to live for at least 10 seconds as a good tank. And about trying to initiate and Despair on me? Too bad I already prepared ahead of time. Can't chew down my HP when I have sufficient MR to negative Despair's effectiveness and counter your team at the same time.

We aced them a few times. Got plenty of their towers. They finally had the nerve to surrender during the 35 minute mark. >_>

 Edit: Jungle Nunu

Neither. Nunu is also one of the only junglers i'd go without smite on due to his true damage ability to minions.
WillDaSnail Wrote:Oh, and not to mention, Eve tries to pull this off on me and Galio during laning phase. Besides the annoying stun, she didn't do a lot of damage; I was like "uh, really?"

You really have to rely on your team when you play Eve to get you kills or assists. Unless you are fed you really dont do anything. In my game yesterday all my ganks were followed up by a Kennen and/or Ashe ult, and sometimes an ignite from me. I only started bursting out some good damage when i bought a needless, and that was when they surrendered lol :p

Also i think the Amumu you went against thought Corki was gonna be the main problem, thus building up some armour first. (I'd personally always buy Mercs on Amumu just because its MRes and even if you dont need that you get cc reduction...)

On a different note, Rumble actually looks pretty fun. Might contemplate buying him.
Release Notes v1.0.0.116

There's a good number of bug fixes in this patch.

--Users can grant other users permission to invite their friends!

--Alistar has been remade so that he has slightly more MS and his passive deals AoE damage per second, while trading off damage from his main abilities and being a bit less of a CC machine. Trample seems to be his main damage feature now as he does his ult thing. Also, he can now misclick minions when trying to Headbutt. lol
--Caitlyn's skills (except her harass) require less mana. Ace in the Hole got significantly cheaper and has an even longer range.
--Beware of hybrid Ezreals! Mystic Shot now scales with AP at 0.2, and Trueshot Barrage now includes both AD+AP for its damage instead of one or the other.
--Fiddlesticks has been remade so that his Drain no longer gives him crazy amounts of HP during laning or any other early level, his Dark Wind now hurts less at lower levels but hurts more late-game per hit, and his ult now deals larger damage at high amounts of AP. Personally, I think he went from "snowball or bust" mode to "you must be really good or bust".
--Gangplank has been remade so that his deny mechanic turned into a "I can run really fast whenever I want to now" mechanic. If you thought he was hard to chase down before, you'll be sorely frustrated now. Parrrley does less damage, but pirate can spam it more often (gross damage is less), and to compensate for his "free" Raise Moral buff, his Citrus heals slightly less.
--Ryze's Overload scales less with mana, but his ult now grants him up to 25% spellvamp. Less bursty, more survivability.
--Sona's Power Chord green and purple have been buffed. Hymn of Valor aura now grants more AD and AP.
--Twisted Fate's blue card now gives him 65% mana instead of 50% (???)
--Xin Zhao's Battle Cry passive no longer goes away, so he'll have quite a bit of AS even after his "surprise buttsex" combo. To compensate, the AS buff got debuffed. Also, his ultimate defense buffs scale with how many champions he hits.

--Randuin's Omen now has 75 armor, but has the additional cost of a cloth armor.
--Because Riot is too lazy to adjust their store tech, they decided that Blasting Wand now advertises Void Staff instead of Archangel's Staff. Good move.

--Fears no longer stack additively, as it was a glitch. Wait what?
--Snowy slow particles no longer CC your computer. You were not affected if you had low particle graphics to begin with. Now if only Riot would address the other graphical lags...
--Champion bios have been updated! If you're a lore feggot like I am, you might want to take a look.
Lol ninja change to taric splash art. Haven't seen the model yet.

BTW the New champ rotation his here.

Yup taric is chinise or something now lol.
Excellent, even more Caitlyn buffs! Wonder when this will keep up.
I'm glad they "fixed" Randuin. It was pretty freaking terrible due to the nerf.
Also Xin Zhao shenanigans are back!

Anymore and people are gonna start screaming OP.

Some people already are just because they cant counter her lane dominance.
Eddikins Wrote:Anymore and people are gonna start screaming OP.

I'm kinda wondering where she stands in terms of viability as well in the world of ranged carries. Especially when comparing Tristana and Caitlyn.
Eddikins Wrote:Anymore and people are gonna start screaming OP.

From what I know, she'll probably still be considered a mediocre ranged carry just because her attack animation is really long (it's harder to move-shoot-move-shoot effectively)
Phoenix Wright Wrote:Depends, what do you usually play?

Ashe.
Compiling a list of traditional carries, what they're good at, what they fail at, and seeing where this goes...

Ashe - 600 range
Strengths: Light DPS increase (+crit), scouting utility, BV destroyer, stun, potential finisher, global shot, master kiter and slow-locker, good farm
Weaknesses: Very weak escape ability, lower than average survivability

Caitlyn - 650 range
Strengths: Long auto-attack, indirect scouting utility, minor map control, great finisher, jump escape, strong laning presence, good farm
Weaknesses: Slow auto-attack latency, low AS

Corki - 550 range
Strengths: hybrid carry, light DPS increase (armor shredding, +true damage on auto-attacks), anti-tank (see previous), jump escape, minor scouting utility, BV destroyer
Weaknesses: Very low AS, must get in close to deal maximum damage, no CC, more susceptible to silences

Ezreal - 550 range
Strengths: hybrid carry, light DPS increase (passive), flash escape, potential finisher, global shot, strong 1v1 laning presence
Weaknesses: no CC, more susceptible to silence

Kog'Maw - 500 to 750 range
Strengths: hybrid carry, moderate damage increase (BAB, passive AS), anti-tank (%-base magic damage, armor shredding), very long auto-attack range (BAB), minor scouting utility (ult), potential finisher (ult)
Weaknesses: less than desirable carry while BAB is on CD, very weak escape ability, slow auto-attack latency

Miss Fortune - 550 range
Strengths: High MS (strut), light DPS increase (Impure Shots), anti-healing, moderate 1v1 laning presence
Weaknesses: very weak escape ability, low mana

Sivir - 425 range
Strengths: Good MS (ult), moderate escaping abilities, master pusher, good farm
Weaknesses: abysmal attack range, low team fight ability

Teemo - 500 range
Strengths: High MS (Move Quick), light DPS increase (poison), good map control, scouting utility, blinding, minor escape ability, potential finisher (ult)
Weaknesses: small attack range, low team fight ability

Tristana - 559 to 703 range
Strengths: Long auto-attack range, moderate DPS increase (Rapid Fire), anti-healing, jump escape, knockback (ult)
Weaknesses: little to no utility, Rocket Jump has conflicting usage

Twisted Fate - 510 range
Strengths: light DPS increase (Stacked Deck), stun, scouting utility (ult), global teleport
Weaknesses: small attack range, inferior damage outside of auto-attacking

Twitch - 500 to 850(?) range
Strengths: heavy DPS increase (Ambush, ult), very long auto-attack range(ult), scouting utility, stealth, can destroy multiple champions, minor potential finisher
Weaknesses: by champion likely behavior does not farm minions well, small attack range without ult, entirely auto-attack centered, lower than average survivability outside of everyone hating Twitch
I find that a Dagger (build in Berzerker Grieves or Phantom Dancer or Black Cleaver or something) in the beginning of the game (screw Doran's Blade) helps greatly with Caitlyn's auto-attack. The slow auto attack shouldn't really matter anyways since all you're doing is last hitting and harassing is mainly done with Q and E.
I hate when they change the splash art of champions, it easily breaks the launcher when patching Frown
More work that I don't like doing!

Let me put forth a situation to put the problem into perspective.

On one hand, you can click on something to instantly deal 50 damage. You can only do this every 1.5 seconds, so don't spam it. But when you click on a minion that's low, BAM gold is earned at the moment you clicked.

On the other hand, say you have the same situation as above, except it takes 2 seconds for the 50 damage to happen. Can you farm as well as you did before? A lot can happen between those two seconds, such as minions focusing something else, causing your prediction of damage flow to become false. Someone else, perhaps even your lane partner, could click on the minion at the same time you did, and deal the killing blow faster than you can, even though you both have the same attack speed.

While I'm at it, have you tried last-hitting with the likes of Soraka and Anivia? My last-hitting in laning phase with those two is pretty bad, but whenever I'm Ashe, I last-hit like a boss. Also, dagger is a bad starting item, and doesn't get you as much farm as a long sword does.

Just want to add that, as far as I know, Rapid Fire is the biggest DPS steroid in the entire game.

EDIT: I meant Ranged DPS >_>

On my...erm...other hand....

I've gotten pretty used to Caitlyn last hitting. I've played her so often I pretty much know the exact moment when I'm supposed to last-hit (like...I instinctively factor in the delay or something).

Of course it's a pain in the butt during side lanes, but eh, I've always had trouble last hitting during side lanes with pretty much every character.

When I played Anivia free week it's been a HUGE PAIN IN THE BUTT because her auto attack speed is so incredibly slow and I since I wasn't used to her no amount of pre-auto attack can help =/.
