Question about Chasers, do I need any points in all of them (like, at least one SP or something) or is that completely my choice? Thinking of getting just Fire and Light, don't know how useful the others are or if I even need SP in the others at all.

Noooooooooope. Just focus on fire and light if those are your chasers of choice.

I have 1 in shadow and water just so I have chasers to throw around, thinking of maxing water because of spare sp (and defense boost is nice). You can turn them off anyway if you dont want them to generate.
Get at least 10 neutral though, its prereq for a few skills. Fire and light are best in general and are maxed in most cases.

Wow, look at all the people crossing over to the dfo side.
Yea, for my battle mage, I'm maxing fire and water, because of the str boost from fire, and the defense boost for me and speed lower for the enemies.
I still haven't decided if I'll be a mage who whacks around pomegranate, and everyone hates them, or the chaser one... Whacking stuff around is only fun when there are a lot of people anyway.
How come none of you have suggested a Monk or exorcist for them?
My monk is doing pretty well without an upgraded weapon, because everything is in my face, so I don't have to go everywhere and attack monsters by themselves.
Can't really say much about exors though, only have a level 19 one that I didn't want to use yet.

5 is generally enough for standard builds.
Also you should go into your settings and check off Expand Skill Hotkeys.

Little question: Considering grapplers have mostly fixed damage skills, would it be worth it for me to get a +weapon ?

Not really, but it means you save load of MAWNEY on not feeding upgrades to Kiri.

Fixed damage skills derive their power from strength/int, while % damage skills derive from both strength/int and weapon attack, since strength raises weapon attack as well as, I believe, being factored into damage formulae for % damage skills.
