The Manual Patch is only available to players who already have the latest version 0.96 installed. So if you have an older version of MapleStory, you will have to wait until launch to update the game.
To manual patch please follow these instructions.
1. Download the Manual Patch here
2. WAIT! Do not proceed until the Jubilation update begins and the game servers are down.
3. Copy the Manual Patch files into your MapleStory folder, typically C:\Nexon\MapleStory
4. Once the Jubilation update completes and the game servers are back up...play MapleStory!
Please note if you copy the manual patch files into your MapleStory folder before the Jubilation update begins, you will not be able to start the game. Once the files are copied, MapleStory will only start after the Jubilation update is complete.

Eh... I'll skip this patch. I'll continue working on my Shadower in JMS and my Sword Knight in Elsword US. The Maple Anniversary patch does nothing for my Hero or Ice Mage in GMS. :|

Numerous itemsincluding brand new Lv.77 Maple itemsare available for purchase through NPCs Inkie and Inkwell, who are found in towns. Inkie and Inkwell only accept 6th Anniversary Silver Coins as currency. These coins can be obtained by talking to Cassandra and exchanging Lv.64 or below Maple weapons for them, or by exchanging Maple Leaves for them (500 Maple Leaves = 1 coin). Inkwell sells all Maple weapons, including the new Lv.77 Maple Pyrope weapons. Inkie sells scrolls, pendants, Maple Leaf face accessories, all levels of Maple Hats, all levels of Maple Capes, all levels of Maple Earrings, all types of Maple shields, 6th Anniversary Puzzle Piece B, and the Underneath the Maple Tree chair.

Dual Raid: Balloon Hunt 04.27.11 06.14.11
Lv.13 and above, two parties of three
Form a party of three then talk to Gaga to participate. You can create a room and wait for another party to join, or join a room if one exists. You must use regular attacks on the balloon and on the monsters; skill attacks wont work. Once you fill the Platform Charge Gauge that is shaped like a battery, your team's platforms will become activated, stopping the conveyor belt and allowing the spring below it to be used. The team that depletes its balloon gauge wins. Various items can be obtained from the monsters in order to help your team. Items that can be obtained while participating in a Balloon Hunt include recovery items, Maple Leaves, Maple weapons, Maple weapon scrolls, 6th Anniversary Puzzle Piece F for the 6th Anniversary Jigsaw Puzzle, and 7-Day Coupons for an Orange Mushroom mount skill.
6th Anniversary Level Up Event 04.27.11 06.14.11
Characters Lv.2 and higher can receive a number of Maple Leaves according to their current level, and characters can receive Maple Leaves every time they level up. This quest can be accepted and completed by talking to the Maple Administrator or through a light bulb notification above your character.
Maple Tree 04.27.11 06.14.11
Collect Sunshine drops from monsters and turn them in to Aramia at Maple Tree Hill. Cassandra can transport you there. When the tree is fully grown, it will explode and drop Maple Leaves and Golden Maple Leaves. A character can hold one Golden Maple Leaf at a time, and they can be turned in to Aramia to receive a random prize: Maple Leaves, a Maple weapon, a Maple pendant, or an Underneath the Maple Tree chair.
6th Anniversary Jigsaw Puzzle 04.27.11 06.14.11
Lv.13 and above, can be repeated once per day
Accept the quest from Cassandra to receive a 6th Anniversary Jigsaw Puzzle and the Puzzle King Guide. The puzzle can be completed by collecting all of the pieces.
* Puzzle Piece A can be obtained by defeating a Maple Bday Cake monster.
* Puzzle Piece B is sold by Inkie.
* Puzzle Pieces C, D, and E can be obtained randomly by participating in the Celebrate MapleStorys 6th Anniversary! quest.
* Puzzle Piece F can be obtained by winning at the Balloon Hunt.
* Puzzle Piece G can be obtained from Aramia by delivering fifty or more Sunshines in one day.
Completing the puzzle and turning in the quest earns you a 6 Year Anniversary Gift Box. These boxes can contain recovery items, scrolls for Maple weapons, boxes with a Maple weapon inside, 6th Anniversary Silver Coins, or 7-Day Coupons for an Orange Mushroom mount skill.

Hunt monsters and collect the cards that Cassandra requests. Give the cards to her to receive a 6th Anniversary Puzzle Piece C, D, or E for the 6th Anniversary Jigsaw Puzzle.
MapleStorys Family Loyalty Forever 04.27.11 06.14.11
Talk to the Maple Administrator each day in order to register yourself on the attendance board. After getting your attendance board stamped seven times, you can obtain a Family Comes First medal (STR/DEX/INT/LUK +2). After getting your attendance board stamped fourteen times, you can obtain a Family Loyalty Forever medal (STR/DEX/INT/LUK +4, Avoidability/Hands +20).
6th B-Day Party set
This set is purchasable in whole or in parts from the Cash Shop. Special effects are generated around your character when wearing two, three, or four pieces of the set together, with progressively more effects generated for more pieces of the set that you wear. From 4.27.11 to 5.24.11, wearing all four pieces of the set also allows you to obtain a special skill from the Maple Administrator. The special skill can only be used when all four items are equipped, and it can only be used ten times per day.

Magic Powders have been removed from monster drops in preparation for the changes to the crafting system that is coming in the Chaos update this summer.
Currently, only the following ores drop from monsters: Dark Crystal Ore, Power Crystal Ore, Wisdom Crystal Ore, DEX Crystal Ore, LUK Crystal Ore.
Bug Fixes/Changes/Known Issues
* Lunar Dew drops for all Explorer jobs doing the Empresss Might quest (the drop rate remains extremely low by design).
* Modifications have been made to the Balloon Hunt and Maple Hill to combat vacuum hacking.
* Certain headbands that caused hairstyles to flatten in v.96 no longer cause hairstyles to flatten.
Nexon removed them, posting them in case they remove them again before Notify grabs them.
Since we know that the majority of MapleStory's player base are complete idiots and doesn't know nor read thoroughly before doing something... they shouldn't be posting a link to the manual patch now, since the patch starts tomorrow night.
