Weird delay when recording with fraps
#1
I seem to be getting this with both MapleStory and Elsword. The weird thing is, I've never gotten this with MapleStory before... even after Big Bang. @_@

When I try recording on both MapleStory and Elsword, I get this weird delay where things don't happen until about 5 seconds after I press the keys. Another weird thing with Maple is that I seem to only be getting this in the higher resolution and in 800x600, it seems to be perfectly fine.

I've run system enhancements, optimizations, and even stopped a ton of unnecessary programs and that had no effect.

Anyone have any idea what's the deal?

What are the specs on your computer? I seem to remember you frequently apologizing for lag when recording so it's probably just a hardware issue with recording at higher resolutions.

Processor: Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU T3200 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz

Memory: 2048MB RAM

Hard Drive: 249 GB

Video Card: Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_rtm.101119-1850)

It's weird that even with a worse computer, I didn't get this delay with MapleStory on the higher resolution with the best graphic settings. For some reason, on this "better" laptop, I'm getting worse results.

What were the specs of your other computer?

And be more specific about your hard drive.

I don't know how to be more specific. o.o Those are just the specs XFire pulled up for me.

I have no idea what the specs were for the other computer, but they were pretty much the same deal -- Gateway based company drivers. I just know it also had 2GB RAM.
