What did you get for easter?

What's an easter gift? I've never heard of such a thing. I only get a bag of chocolate eggs that I love so much, and that's it. :3
I guess you can say my present is being able to play DFO for 2 more days straight if I wish. o3o

In America here is what we do. We go for egg hunts and we get either candy or prizes inside the eggs. Then we have either Easter Dinner and open our baskets and see what we get. I also have 2 days off of school =P

Not in my household.

Peeps, choclate rabbits, and candy

First I've ever heard of someone getting something other than diabetes-inducing amounts of chocolate and Peeps. Best thing about Easter is the day after when all the candy is on sale.

Candy. And a card from my mom with a cute guy drinking beer saying something about Easter. Works for me.

So, I got a few pieces of candy and two cards.

Candy like everyone else

I had to work Friday/Saturday, so I couldn't go home to Illinois to have brunch with my family and our friends. So last night I was drinking wine with friends until 2:30 am, then just got up after sleeping for 9 hours. Definitely best beginning to first Easter by myself.

Of course I wasn't expecting anything, nor could care less about it being Easter (lolconfirmedcatholicdislikeseaster), but lo and behold I received $20 from my parents (aka thanks for the laundry money), as well as a ridiculous E-card from my Mom. Oh parents. I'll be calling them later tonight which will be nice.

Since I'm Agnostic, dad is an Atheist, mom is nowhere near a "real" Christian, and my sister is nowhere to be found. My mom is making me breakfast which is nice.

But for Easter I had to pay money for gas in my car, drive myself to the nearest Target, and I bought myself a chocolate bunny. Because for some reason they taste a lot more incredible when they are in bunny form.

Besides that, I got jack s'hit. Enjoy your you- Oh wait, I'm still only 16.

Got to sleep in after yesterday's fiasco, and I got a big bag of dark chocolate eggs.

Hm, I offended somebody by saying that I look forward to the candy. I'm supposed to appreciate Jesus' resurrection instead even though I'm not religious.

Other than that, it's just another Sunday to me

Easter is one of the holidays when we exchange chocolate with the extended family.
Chocolate in, chocolate out - amount of chocolate in the house remains steady.

What a ripoff, all I get is millions of reenactments of Jesus' death all over Mexico. And annoying lectures from all over my family.

As an American, I wish they kept it as this.
Honestly, who got the idea of making an easter bunny and hunting eggs on jesus' resurrection?
