Is this some type of hint towards NoJobNoRules?

It seems a pretty obvious reference to NoJobNoRules, I don't understand what it means though.
Hard to relate to characters since I don't know much about the show.

This is the type of information we needed. Regrettably, I am in the same boat as Shidoshi, not knowing much about the show.

We need to figure out if it is a mafia clue, or an interviewer type role.

May I suggest switching our attention to Infection and xBTAx who have not posted yet, so we don't end up having an inactive silent mafia.

The reasons for voting ChaoticCJ are small, I just feel that he has better chance to be mafia than other people by way of some things he posted.

As for game theory:
In a game where people vote for something consecutively and can't change their vote, casting your vote first is normally more powerful since the next voters have to take in account your vote now (for example, the last voter would never vote on someone with no votes at all because it would make no difference, his vote can only decide between the ones the first voters already chose). Voting last gives a false sense of power because you are giving "the last word" about the matter, but since everyone has the same vote power it really doesn't change much.

The power of voting first seems to be like kind of an aggressive and selfish one as it creates somewhat of an obstacle to be overcome for anyone who would for whatever reason vote for you. But it could also be a way to draw people out. The play is potentially good regardless of your or his alignment so it's really solid in that regard. It is also clearly an aggressive play.

For those reasons I voted first and voted who I did.

I see the reasoning for the voting first still not so much reason for the who.

Also, people shouldn't be scared of voting. It's the only power everyone has and it's a strong indicative of your opinions and alignment. Of course there will be wrong lynches and such, but simply not voting is leaving the decision to the people most interested in swaying the votes, the mafia.

Can't the same be said of specifically mafia strategy when it comes pushes for specific players? Like especially in games with limited activity where killing the actives off effectively prolongs the life and chances of success for the mafia. In this game it seems really favorable to mafia play aggressively and sort of seal an early win.

Holding my vote for an hour or so i suppose looking through the thread a bit and such.

Might as well roleclaim consider I probably will die tonight. I am Lieutenant Felix Gaeta, and since Dr. Gaius Baltar is dead I guess I am the smartest human. I know that Corn is Admiral William Adama. I am sure you can figure out the rest.

Damn i wish the loyalties and alignments in the show weren't so complex. after looking at the wiki i'm at a loss as to what your alignment is, i'm torn between neutral and town. The real question is what your ability would be if you have one. And as major as your character is i'm working on the assumption you do. A detective role doesn't seem to make sense with your character but you evidentially know who another character is. Maybe i'm reading too much into that.

My deducing skills allow me to know about the person I choose. I can assure you I am part of the town as well as is Corn, but then again you don't know if you can trust me . Still, the town doesn't want to lose a detective(even a potential one), and there are other people that would be better to go after.

Well i guess i'm giving the benefit of the doubt to CJs roleclaim and for it's vote now or don't vote. Shidoshi's aggressive play puts me a little on edge especially since it is against an active when it seems like such play would favor mafia heavily in this game. Giving the detective an even playing field if this comes to a footrace and just some suspicion from shidoshis play leads me to my vote.

Nah, I finished Portal 2 days ago. I actually forgot about the game, to be honest. I'll be active from here on, though. :x

Not like I can revert your votes after voting me, but just because ChaoticCJ roleclaimed now and he's most likely a townie doesn't mean my vote makes me mafia as it was made before that information was available.

Finally, I have to say I'm town and lynching me would be an entire waste of potential (based on what I can do for town). I dunno if you guys want me to roleclaim or not, but anyway:

I'm Lieutenant Kara “Starbuck” Thrace, don't ask me how Kurtle had the same name as me when he died, I'm a tomboyish girl and even left a picture of Rainbow Dash some pages back as some sort of breadcrumb. I have a power I won't reveal because it is in the best interest of town not to.

Although it was a rash vote, I understand Shidoshi's vote. There is no reason to vote for Shidoshi right now, I don't really suspect Shidoshi as mafia. Right now I would say vote for Infection for inactivity, or possible see if TheBirds was correct and maybe go after NJNR.

Going to wait a little more to see if there are any more reactions or responses before I vote. Though at this rate its gonna be a tie...

It sucks that people seem to be scared to vote. It's not like there will be a magical appearance of a detective with miraculous information every round. You have to go on hunches and light clues that lead you to believe there's more chance one person is mafia than simple random chance.

I don't know rather the hint, if it is a hint, is right or not, but I rather go with it than the choices other people are making at the moment.

If NoJob says nothing by 8:30 PM EST he has my vote, since even if CJ or Shidoshi are lying, it's easier to see that in an active person rather than an inactive.

Telling us you have a really good power and then saying it's best kept secret means that you're just drawing unwanted attention to yourself.

Ok, so after a few messages were traded between me and Mephisto. It seems there was a problem in the distribution of roles.
Re-roleclaiming: forget about the breadcrumbs and all, I'm Captain Lee “Apollo” Adama and I'm an awesome pilot and badass. I still hold that my power is best kept secret, trust me on this one, DualReaver.

And yeah, it sucks playing by a role and then discovering that's not your role anymore.
