While I am upset over the hacking, the one thing that does bother me is how companies like Sony lock users out of the full potential of the hardware they purchase.
I don't think that Sony, or anyone for that matter, should have the right to tell people what they can and can't do with something that they purchase. I feel the same way about apple locking out their iPods / iPads.
