I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET MINECRAFT!

Now to be a total noob at it. Thankfully my boyfriend is letting me stay in his place until I know what I'm doing so I don't get raped in the face by creepers too soon. :X

Happened to me yesterday while I was near a cave entrance. I turned around and BOOM. Flew off the cliff and died. xd.

What kind of playing style do you guys have? I like survival the most.. not those hacking spawning crap servers...
And i'm also a mod on a pretty good survival server, i wish people from here tried it out xD its awesome.

Also, a member of Serebii's IRC chat is recreating the Kanto region in Minecraft. I'll upload pics when it's done.

I'm a peach and I play on peaceful like 70% of the time I play. When I wander around/not building anything, I turn them boogies on.

Also, made a portal to the Nethers. Got lost. Luckily, I had ten more Obsidian on me. Made another portal. Spawned I don't know the hell where. Had to die.

Life sucks.

Could you provide links or at least names? The ideas behind those mods are what interest me, so if there are better variants out there I would love to see them.

I expected telescopes to be more common, but this was he first I'd heard about it. Grappling hook looks cool and could be really fun in SMP.

What do you mean by "take it off"? On Windows and Linux, you download a launcher which then downloads the files into a certain folder on the computer. If all you did was delete the launcher, you still have the files. Just reDL the launcher (and hide it).

Carry a bucket of water with you when you mine deep. It will save your ass a lot of time and effort.

I'm just glad I hadn't mined the diamonds I was going after. I've already lost 8.

Ya but i dont wanna hide shyt behind my sisters back =\. Plus ive been playing fortresscraft and made a huge amount of stuff on it. Only 13 more weeks till this computer is mine and i get to download minecraft and other things ^^

Finally got my hands on it. And it's most likely the best free game I know of. And it's so different from the old one... + I can play it in browser = wut

Needless to say, I didn't figure out the peaceful mode before I had died after building a nice house to a cave I found. Found a nice guide to get a good start with. Found a nice little cave right before night came. It was pretty open-air so this zombie guy almost came to say hi to me. After that night I managed to build a wall and a door.

Then, after third night, rain started and I though it was morning... well it was, but apparently there still were zombies around and when I was looking for some coal to dig a zombie suprised me from behind and I didn't have time to change my pickaxe to my sword.

-> Dead.

Time to continue tomorrow, this time in peaceful mode (this means no zombies right?).

I wish I had a credit card to play multiplayer mode...

I recently started playing on a server with some friends from school. As of today, they have owned the game for no more than 2 weeks. They built a castle - like everyone - and have been having a jolly time. After I found 40ish diamond with a friend, they got mad and went to find their own. They just found their first diamond.

I thought I'd take their newbness and see if I could have fun with it. I dug down below their castle and made a small room. In this room is a basic pulsar connected to four note boxes set to the highest note. Poor guys have no idea what it is....
