As I somewhat prophetically ended up proving in my game just now. >_< I was a fail Amumu, since between Morgana and I, we ended up feeding Xin too much early game. And then Morgana ragequit . . . so yeah it just was downhill from there.

Eh, I think I just needed a bit of a break. I kinda lost incentive to play once my widescreen busted and I had to start using a shitty monitor, and then after that one game I tried to play where everything was all fucked up and I had to quit, I wanted to play even less.

Since my newfound girlfriend wanted to try it and I managed to fix the visual problems, I started wanting to play again

Also...for Level 30s who have played ranked games recently: What are the most banned champs nowadays? Rammus, Shen, and Amumu still getting the majority of the banhammers?

I can't really tell when you guys are on, because I only play with her on my smurf accounts. I don't wanna be throwing her up against level 30s and whatnot >_>

And for low-mid elo, everyone just bans tanks. Rammus, Shen, Malphite, and Amumu, usually.

Is it really that funny? o.O I was alone after a teamfight at Baron, and made a beeline straight for the Nexus. I moved to the other side with the intent of shutting the enemy in their own fountain, but that's when the game ended, so I did my usual /j.

So my main account on MS has been unjustly banned for one month and Nexon hasn't looked at my ticket for two weeks now, and as a result I looked into this game to use as study breaks since it's finals week and such.
All I have to say is my god this game is fun and addicting.
I'm just wondering, what are the best methods to obtaining that shop currency? (IP I think it's called...? Forget lol) I've played several games and when they last 40-50 minutes each I'm surprised by the low amount of points I get. I managed to gain 1.3k or so and bought Fiddlesticks then realized I sucked using him. Do you gain more points by doing 5x5 PvP instead of 3x3 PvP or 5x5 vs AI? Or is it based on the amount of kills/assists you obtained?
At the rate I'm going it'll take me forever to unlock a good bunch of champions :/

More point are gained for joining (and winning) random Normal matches (not co op vs AI). The "and winning" is the hard part. I usually just play a lot of co op vs AI beginner mode games because then we get to enjoy ourselves are screw around much more.

There was a guy who had just bought fiddles and didn't know what to build with him.

Near the beginning of the match (3 minutes in?):

"Hey guys, I'm new at fiddles, what should i build"
*general comments on what to build on him*
"But hey... we're playing bots.... go nuts!"
"yeah build whatever dude we'll still win"



It's basically a great way to do crazy pomegranate and the IP gain is so-so. It's great for getting your first win of the day bonus.


A smurf account is basically a pro player making a new account for any number of reasons among which:

-so that his summoner level is low and can be paired against unskilled nubs and thoroughly pwn them.
-so he can play with a low level friend of his and not have his friend end up having to fight lvl 30 people.

Also agreed on the winning normal matches being hard compared to vs AI. My team was up against this guy using Fiddlesticks (ironic) and he was completely dominating. Sucks that he was also being a cocky showoff too, but hey it's PvP what do you expect.

I still haven't figured what role I like playing yet. I've played mostly tanks and ranged but I should see about support and junglers too...

Playing junglers requires a lot of skill and things being done quickly. So I'd avoid that role for now. If you screw up jungling you fall stupidly behind. Check out some youtube videos of the champs who are free this week. See if you like anything you see. Then give them a shot in a 5 x 5 co op vs AI beginner mode. Pay attention to the suggested items, but dont feel bound to them.

In general, build items that match your role first. Then you'll find out what you're lacking by midgame, build that. Are you a nuker not doing enough damage, get more. Are you a tank and still taking too much damage? get more defenses. You'll want to build based off of what your enemies are building (which you can see by holding the tab key).

Ah okay thanks for the tips! I've played most of the free champions this week, Anivia and Nasus seem to be my best so far.
I've also started to look into the items more but yeah usually I just go with the recommended ahah.

Recommended is okay, but they're far from ideal, just google for builds, helps a ton till you feel confident enough to build what you want yourself.

Will do. I haven't even touched any masteries or runes cause I've been meaning to inform myself more about them before I start spending.

Dont bother with runes early on. Early runes are cheap but suck. Masteries you should always worry about. There's a spot on the offense side that you can reach with 9 points that let's you penetrate 15% of the opponent's resistance. Good for spells :3

Yeah, I realized that after one test run on my alt account from last week's rotation. While it seems fun / interesting, it's WAY out of my league for the time being. Forever laner FTW lol

Don't kock the tier 1 runes guys. They are incredibly cost efficient for the utility provided at such a low low low ip cost. You can always unequip them all later when you get a full page of t3 runes. Use the rune combiner with 5 at a time and upgrade them into a couple of t3 runes in the end.



Edit: Check this game out yesterday. Carry ryze ftw lmao. I have never been through a game quite like that one. Early through mid game the entire enemy team had been on kill streaks feeding off my teammates. I was mid ryze vs akali and shut her down completely during laning. When teamfights started I was already like 6/2/x with some pretty good damage going on and was dominating for our team. The rest of my mates were had like 0 or 1 kill each it was horrible. The teamfights were starting to show something to me though, didn't notice it till it got a little later in the game.

I was having 2 things happen every... single... fight.
First I was getting a couple of kills per fight but would be blown up as my mates ran while I was doin my business.
Second I noticed that as soon as I would die, the other team took off. It didn't matter if there was other mates left on the field, they got me out of the way so they'd go farm and push all lanes.

So I changed things up a bit. I started to coordinate a plan with my team after having an inhib tower downed on our side.

My quote to my team before the game changed in our favor:
"New plan guys: Protect ryze and stay within throwing distance of each other always"
"I want you guys to act like your pushing and make them commit to a fight in mid 4v5 while I'm in the bushes over here."
"When they blow their cc's on you guys, malphite I want you to ulti knockup the enemy team while I go in a kill them."

2 chances were all we got to try that plan, and it worked both times. The first time I went in and just aoe'd the crap out of them, they couldn't burst me cause of cooldowns and that got us to the inhib tower. Sivir went and pushed a second side tower during the mid push. The second time it happened I went in a just murdered the hell out of them while they were in the air lol, got a triple kill to an ace. Got us the game won, carrying as ryze.

I was really bad so i just did custom matches with friends all the time and next thing i know im like level 25 lol. I kept avoiding normals unless i duo queued because when i first solo queued i always got told i sucked and i couldnt be bothered to deal with it so.
