Legend of Dragoon. If I recalled correctly, it was either this or Tales of Destiny II (Tales of Eternia) that was my very first PS1 RPG, but I definitely remember spending well over 200+ hours on my first playthrough on LoD, trying to finish everything in the game, and finding all of the secret bosses. Fighting against the Divine Dragon was probably one of the more interesting fights, since I'd keep my characters in normal form.

Good times.

PS: Meru & Rose. HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG

my first final fantasy, FF5 Adv, i just simply fell in love with the simple characters, funny but serious storyline, and overall job system, it's also what sparked my interest in all things final fantasy.

that and golden sun 2, which was my first and favorite of the saga, dem cliffhangers though.

err... was pokemon an rpg? i can't remember, i think so (brainfaaaaart) but i'll never forget pokemon red, so awesome in so many ways, from what you were supposed to do, to the glitches it has.

Here's my list of memorable RPGs.
- Final Fantasy 6, 9, 12, and 5. I'm a big FF fan, though I'm usually not that vocal about it.

- Dragon Quest

- Chrono Trigger

- Elder Scrolls 3: Morowind

- Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion

- Fable (the most memorable disappointment in my life Rolleyes)

- Golden Sun

- Fallout 3

- Fallout New Vegas (though I'm not finished with it yet)

*sees this thread and sees it is made by Khoi, clicks on it and expects The Legend of Dragoon, if there is no The Legend of Dragoon plans on making a post asking where is The Legend of Dragoon, but sees The Legend of Dragoon and says "Good job, Son."*

Anyway. Bokosuka Wars, Dragon Quest (First.) and Final Fantasy (First.). I played all three in Japanese and couldn't understand a word of any of it but it didn't make the games any less memorable.

- Valkyrie Profile. Awesome story, excellent battle system, lots of character's backstory.
- Final Fantasy 4, 6, 7, 8, Crisis Core, Tactics, Tactics Advance.
- Ys series in general.
- Super Mario RPG.
- Shining Force I and II. (Games had a super cliche story, but the game was so straight-forward and fulfilling).
- Chrono Trigger.
- Fire Emblem.
- Diablo II (first neckbearding game I played)
- Half-Minute Hero
- Persona 3, 4.

Am I the only one that has played Dark Cloid 2 (also known as Dark Chronical)? This is unargubly the best Rpg made in the history of game playing. Please play it and you'll understand why I spent 200+ hours playing that game! Excellent

i don't know if i'd go as far as the best i've ever played but the roguelike dungeon randomization and things of that nature definitely made the game stand out
