Does mechanic have innate 30% ignore defense?

Because all the damage I've seen does not fit the normal mob defense, but surprisingly they all fit as if I have 30% ignore defense on mobs. I've stripped all my gear but a gun and the results are still the same. This applies to regular attacks as well with AND without the mech. What the heck? I'm leaning towards hidden tags on extreme mech or some other passive boosts, or perhaps it's just mechanic all around.

Well I hoped on my mech, and did some calculations about it and it seems to be 30% ignore too. So I guess it isn't just you. I tested it on Jars.

Yeah, Atomic Hammer has exactly 30% PDRate ignore at max level. It seems odd that it would work on all abilities (as it seems Jellyflower is saying).

Testing on my Lv.40 Mech, with 1 Atomic Hammer (11% ignore def), 1035 range, 56% gatling gun, against 25% PDR Dojo bosses.
Highest hit obs. -> 556.
Theoretical max (0% PDR): 579
-> 4% or less total PDR (out of 25%)

Um... that doesn't really work.
Let's assume "Heavy Weapon Mastery" is lying, and I don't actually have 56% gatling gun, it's still doing 70%...
Obs max -> 556
Theoretical max (0% PDR) -> 724
Percent of damage -> 76.7% -> 23.3% pdr or less
89% of 25% pdr = 22.25% pdr
theoretical max (22.25% pdr) -> 562

So... two things.
- Gatling Gun still does 70% x 6, even though the skill says 56% x 6
- Atomic Hammer's ignore def works on Gatling Gun


edt. saw a 644 on a normal 10% def mob. So yeah, definitely not 56% on Gatling Gun.

Defense ignore is bugged, both for Night Lord Triple Throw and Atomic Hammer.

Together with Acceleration Bot, Atomic Hammer's and Triple Throw's damage is higher then it's supposed to be.

I wonder what happens if you do: Dice5 + AMP Bot + Acceleration Bot + Atomic Hammer + Potential 30% wdef ignore and hit a Critical lol...

It's really bugged, it works like a multiplier that goes off scale... But ok, Mechs and Night Lords deserve some free damage boosts... :+)

...and to think i was considering resetting 7 out of hammer with my old reset scroll so i could max jump since i dont use hammer any more
