Black and White recent happenings thread!

Have you ever frigging faced an Inconsistant user? I've always lost before the ban against them. I was forced to run stupid stuff such as Haze on at least 2 Pokemon and even then I'd still lose against a good Inconsistent user.

And it sharply increases one skill and just plain decreases another skill. So eventually you'll get all stats at +6 given the time.

And hell if you're fast enough and good with your switches you have PLENTY of time to net that 1/7 chance of Evasion.

If you're faster than the opponent, you have 9 chances.

If you're slower, well, just be smart with your switches.

Still doesn't seem that bad. The only reason I can see why its broken is the fact that it activates on a switch in (which is retarded since I don't know any other skill that does that, well don't know about accupressue but still)

Also, it makes that red card item from subway look much more valuable

Another method if you have 2 games and 2 DS'es...or a friend...do a link battle, the pokemon gets upped to level 50 or 100, I forget which... you'll get dead on IV's that way when you punch the numbers in. Assuming there aren't any EVs on the thing.

EDIT: If this generation displays stats during battle... I can't remember if it does or not...

You can check stats. But when I do the Union Room battles, my pokemon aren't upped in level. They are either lowered to 50 (if 51+) or stay their level. Not sure how to changes rules, gone through all possible combinations to see if I can.

EDIT: Nevermind, got it working in the Battle Subway. Deino take forever to hatch, but the one I tested had:

Not horrible SpA, but I have another that may be better and has a SpA nature.

oh weird, i gotta try that with the battle subway... ive just been soft resetting after killing 1 thing in the elite 4 with an expshare on the thing i want to check stats. 8k exp if theyre level 1, and gets them to 18-22 which isnt too bad for stat checking.

also when breeding, i found everstones are far more useful than the extra inherited iv. if you're satisfied with 1 31 and several 20+'s its MUCH faster. you can get a specific nature and satisfactory iv in a 2nd stat at about a .5*(.16 [25+] or .33 [20+]) rate instead of a .04-.08 rate (1-2 satisfactory natures). im not yet willing to spend far too much time breeding in marginal stat boosts though...

For some reason Union Room and wifi room battles don't auto level your pokemon. You'll have to use IR battles, which do.

I lead with a DD gyrados, followed by Excadrill, and lastly mienshou. My gyrados typically rapes the first two pokemon unless the first one is electric, which I switch in excadrill, then spam earthquake/rockslide till he dies. Switch back gyrados DD and rape, send mienshou for clean up. lol

He's okay. I don't like how his special attack is bad. Other stats are decent but better ivs could make a difference. With the new held items you can pass up to 2 (1 per parent plus randomly chosen ivs that could carry over) desired ivs through breeding, which definitely is nice. So, I'd look for a better one if I wanted to be sure of good ivs passing over.

I don't like the look of that SpA either. If you have a Naive nature you should be going for a mixed attacker, and 12-15 SpA isn't the greatest for that.

Well I managed to bag one with perfect speed, although the other stats are rather bad.

If you have a desirable nature mother, use everstone. If you don't, but have a desirable IV mother, use a band to pass down another IV until you get a desirable nature. If you have both a desirable nature mother AND a desirable IV mother, I'd say pass down the IV instead. IVs are much more of a pain in the ass to get desirable outcomes with.

I have a hard time believing this. It's not on Bulbapedia or Serebii at all and I haven't even heard anyone talk about it.

So I can hatch an egg, find it's IVs, and if IVs are good enough I can just soft reset for the right nature?

Found my Pokemon pearl today. Transferred hell of alot of pogeys. Wasnt nearly as hard as I heard it was.
