@ the above posters: I can agree about the design flaws, certainly, but to stick around on a forum devoted mostly to MS and ask who cares? That's a whole new bag of redundant.

This is not an excuse to complain about DB's every 1 out of 3 posts.

Maybe I missed it, but I didn't exactly see the Empress die. Though I suppose the point of the video is to say that DB's are self sustaining even at Empress.

I found that the more we care about class balance, the less it matters. It doesn't change anything aside from maybe the fact a few bandwaggoners will hop onto the DB train now and inflate LUK % gear again. Continuing to care is getting rather tiresome.

you forgot that 90% of people that post here in SP don't even play maple anymore.

and anyone can achieve it, just spend pomegranate load of money cubing you equips and you are done. Now go to WoW and ask if end boss content are solable? even with ilvl 359 and perfect enchant/gems you can't solo a full raid.

maple is all about who can spend more money to make equips.

While on maple, people flaunt their 28% stats belt made with real money, on WoW, people flaunt this unique mount that drop @ 1% rate, or this epic item, or this achievement of killing sinestra @ first try @ heroic mode w/o letting any raid member die.

There is one thing I don't get with that.

That is wrong, it's more like 10%. It's just the people who have quit are annoyingly vocal about it.

DB can get the skill too via quests [you can't make an ultimate adventurer DB]

That's actually pretty good, he has the damage to make vampire useful so he doesnt die from the lack of potting (stupid pot lock in map)

But what does this video prove? It proves that spending tons of money in game on potential actually makes useless skills decent. Other than that, you really don't have any excuse to complain about DB. This guy is obviously loaded with potential, I wanna see how much damage a NL or any other class does with that amount of potential. Tell us, how much potential this guy has? I can bet its over 2xx %

I don't say that just because I've quit, I say it because it's true. This is a game where the most popular form of flaunting is to solo a pomegranatety low level boss that hasn't been considered challenging for 5 years faster than everyone else. I quit MS for the first time back in 2006 or so but I've been playing off and on because I am still interested in the game, I know people who still play the game, and I would love to see it somehow become less terrible.

Also, it's amusing to watch people complain about stuff? I dunno, ask the other quitters.

What is there to complain about? With Maple the way it is now, anybody can get their character to those insane heights. You just have to cough up lots of money. That's all there is to it.

Edit: Well i just rewatched the video and his blade storm or w.e hits are all above 100k, he also gets missed A LOT...

He might be able to sustain himself in the fight without any help like shanghai said, but that doesn't mean he can solo the empress, although a full party of DBs like him might be able to.

I know Dual blades are supposed to be a premium class, but the benefits for paying (like 30$ for all their books?) are so high above thats outrageous.

Potential System is indeed broken, But so do DB with their over 9000 numbers of hit that make taking advantage of a broken system easy cake.

Also DB are the only class that can get Easy weapon attack from the Shield Slot without excesive spending on Scrolls cubes etc.
