Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
Only reason i dont play veigar much is because his voice annoys me lol ._.

Also, ive nearly finished my ap rune page after about a month and a half. 1 seal, 1 glyph and 3 quints to go (after i get to 30 that is)
I'm addicted to buying skins.... >.< Biggrin
STOP TELLING ME WHAT TO DO

Also, I have to remember that Thornmail is only for autoattackers, not just physical damage. Sunfire beats Thornmail against melee DPS, right?

Thornmail has more base armor, but Sunfire also gives HP, so it depends on the rest of your item comp and the enemy team comp. If they have even half magic damage, Sunfire is probably better due to HP helping you deal with magic damage. If you've already got plenty of HP/MR, and you're finding the DPS/physical ones are left, Sunfire isn't going to be as good as getting a Thornmail will be.
Corn Wrote:I'm been banned from playing LoL (in real life, from my mom). I had no time to type the situation out in the game, Kajitii, so I'll write it up here.

That's a real bummer. And yes we lost. Karthus on the other team kept demanding that we surrender, but we stubbornly held out. Eventually my teammates screwed up and walked into an ambush via Karthus bait and wiped, so I decided to see how much a fed Ashe could do backdooring a turret without minions. Turns out, only 1000 HP of 2500 =/

Thornmail is technically the best item for sheer Armor. However, for effective HP vs. physical damage dealers, Sunfire beats the pants off of Thornmail.

I was thinking more in terms of the passive, but yeah, I suppose that too.
WTP is wrong with the Queue thing? I got paired with freaking lvl 30 with 200-1200 wins O.o (Enemy team had 2 1k+ and 1 300+ and mine 400-500+ :S)

Oh. Sunfire beats Thornmail in general as well (unless you're not an up-close kind of guy). Both vs. champions and vs. neutrals and creeps.
I had an abyssal (and hourglass, which I used poorly but if helped against their Yi who was the only positive KBig Grin on their team) so I'm not positive he could one-shot me per-say, but if he stunned me first I died. I definitely one-shot him at one point though. Between the 900AP I had and the similar amount he had, he'd need a lot of MR to save himself.
Played an EXTREMELY close game with Kajiti right now. We were down two inhibitors and that nub wanted to surrender =P. We eventually won after acing them twice (once at baron. Thank god for wards!)
Today, I have witnessed a miracle that defines an essence of LoL.

Played a game with Corn, and I decided to dust off my Nidalee. She's a jack-of-all-trades kind of champion. That is, unless it has to do with teamfights. She's pretty squishy and has no CC, so I can't weigh the outcome of teamfights as well as others can.

Early game, we were doing okay. Unfortunately, mid game we started failing the team coordination aspect, as Tank Warwick kept on screwing us up, and their Ashe had good positioning the whole game. When we finally aced them at our base, that's when things started turning around. Our priorities became better, we came in on a fight as one instead of streaming in one by one, and we were able to scrape by. On the flip side, the enemy still focused the tank (Blitzcrank) and they would fall for the Kennen Zhonya distraction a lot.

I usually don't see such improvement in such a short time. It's pretty cool seeing what difference the little things make.

(lmao @ Nidalee healing for over half health in one spell)
<3 Twitch now. I was worried about harassment issues since I was soloing mid, but once I did a little probing on Kogmaw, I figured out his weakness in his playstyle: exposing himself too much. Then I went and stealthed, then unleash what I got once he exposes himself. Killed him 4 times this way and got fed early on.

Protip: Kogmaw if you had gotten Oracles, I would be at a disadvantage. Instead you choose to do the same thing over again, which I happily exploited. Instead of raging in chat at the end of game complaining about why your team can't do shet about me, why can't you find an easy, 400-gold solution to counter me?

Later on, I told my friend (tanking as Malphite) at one point in the game to initiate - we were getting pushed hard at top - and I wanted to stop them with my Ult + auto attacks. He goes in and things work out; killed 2 out of the 3 enemies that were charging in on the top lane near our inner (not base) turret.

Anyways, our team was doing horribly early on; me carrying on Twitch helped a lot and turned the tide of the game mid-game

 Question about AD DPS champs

FoolsLove Wrote:I'm downloadan LoL

Welcome!
You'd generally want AD. Even more of a priority on Twitch because he gets attack speed coming out of stealth.
I just played a match with the most amazing Karma. And the guy said he was lagging to high hell. I'd be scared of what he could do without lag.

QSS is also definitely the solution to my Rammus on Veigar problem.

Wish I had bought MP5/level runes instead of flat.
Made the same mistake, mad. I swear to god my Ashe runepage has cost me more than all my other purchases of runes and champions combined because of how often I changed runes before. I'm still not done with it.
Rune pages lol. Im still trying to decide what to put on the Glyphs of my rune page for Nocturne, MR per level/CD reduc flat/More Armor.

I'm not quite done with my first all-purpose rune page. Still only lvl27, so one more quint and a few more other slots open/in need of unlocking. MPen Reds, flat MP5 yellows, flat CD blues, ArP quints. Gonna differentiate to a Corki page and caster page and save Rammus for last. I'll get ArP reds for Corki, fort quints for casters. And rebuy those darn MP5 yellows. I don't think it'll stop me from getting Manamune on Corki, but it'd be great for Veigar and Lux.

I currently open Meki>Tear>Meki>Codex on Veigar. Sick, sick mana regen. So much skill spam.

@Dante
I'd go MR over armor, but I don't know about MR vs. CD
It's fun playing one game only to realize that it's so bad it's not even worth continuing to play for the night lol
4v5, laning Kat with Smite, jungling Noct without smite, said Noct dies to wraiths the second they spawn.

Another easy loss lol
I got fed again....this time on Amumu

Yeah. Strange shi't this game. I got fed early on while I was on Amumu. I had 4 or 5 kills to 0 deaths when laning phase ended.

This game was weird by itself. We got Baron buff early mid-game (actually stole it from the other team who was maybe a bit too eager to end the game early). Unfortunately, I died while helping my team steal it. >_>

Long story short: We still won. I still find it funny how a tank can carry the game instead of the expected ranged DPS champs and whatnot. Then again, we were getting nailed left and right early on; me carrying (and being a very hard target to kill unless I got full team ganked) early on helped my team a bit. >_>

I'll upload footage of this game tomorrow morning. For now, time to hit the hay.
