ikr? I saw 5 UA pallys in 1 fm room the other day. And to think I was like the only 12x/13x pally around pre-BB.

OT: Jesus...they're doing 5x as much with ACB as I do on ele weak with SE :f6:, blasts are about 100k higher than me on SE + Gelt + MW32 + Ele weak boss :f6:

People wanting to make a class because it's not terrible, I really don't get what's wrong with that, am I supposed to want to play a bad class?

I made a UA WK, really annoys me every time any thread about Paladins is posted, people are HERRDERRBANWAGONERS.

Why play a class for power? Look at TakeBacker and other brawlers for example. A good majority who use brawlers know they suck crap compared to something like a db or a mech but does that stop them? No. They play their brawler because they like their brawler play style, like the skills, even though they want a revamp it doesn't mean they'll jump on another class just because it's "better". Class pride is scarce to find these days REAL class pride

but meh, i have my class pride, wanted to be a dragon/dark knight ever since i saw the names on nexon's site, and so far it's the only class that has gained my interest and to which i have stayed loyal. through all the goods and bads.

Yeah, with the massive gap in ranges (mine was ~7k pre-potential, which was good at the time, now it's 15.5k, I've seen players with 40k+ and players with 6-7k) there's just no way to compare classes based on videos anymore. If you think your gear's as good as the dude in the video, go ahead and make a Paladin...

This doesn't work out as much as you think.
Some stuff is untradeable, such as hats, pendants and possibly other equips that are locked after equipping. Then there's the fact that if you put the same gear on another char that doesn't even share the same main stat, then it wouldn't benefit the other character as much.

Who said anything about power, animations, play style, all go into my class choice. My highest character is an Archmage, certainly isn't the most powerful, even among mages. Sure I love my arch-mage, but if they suddenly became tier 1 other people playing them wouldn't change my view of them. The only people who have problems with band wagoners are people desperate to stand out and be "original".

i meant funding, of course if you are going to switch from one char to other it's gonna be expensive, but if you are going to start both from zero, and had to pick between a F/P or a mech for example, the mech would do more damage if you were to spend the mesos on it, while the A/M would be less powerful, even if you put the exact same amount of funding in it.

when i started my spearman, everybody was a dexless naruto, and it was the class that everybody played (and hacker spearmen <.<) i still went with the spearmen not for the more suckish range, not for the less damaging attacks, but because it was what i liked.

That entirely depends on your level. If I made a new character, such as a Priest and was trying to Scarecrow with it, the number of moronic Mechanics and WHs would push me back towards my other chars. Not saying everyone is an idiot, but almost all that I have seen have been ksers. I also don't like seeing my class books disappearing and beginning to cost obscene amounts. Blast20/30? Just after BB, they cost 5mil or so. Just before UA, they cost nearly 50mil. Even though I passed them a while back, other books are affected as well. I am thinking of maxing Guardian after Hero's Will and Stance, but Guardian 20 has no drop places, so I assume only gach gives it. Not fun waiting on a book me and a million other Pallys are looking for when under pre-BB circumstances maybe only 3 of us would be looking.

What? I cannot find my Achilles and guardian skill books anywhere, and my pre aftershock/bb paladin/wk friends can vouch that they STILL don't have blast 20/30...

I will admit, the bold part of what you said is EXACTLY why id dislike bandwagons. I like to stand out, and I like to be "original." I know very well that many people will view that as pathetic or just plain stupid, but I know what I want and I'll stick with it.

That isn't to say that I entirely disagree with you though. After reading some of your other comments I've realized that I probably shouldn't get my plantain in a knot over people wanting to try something new when they see that it's not crap, but I still don't like bandwagons.

Bought the only Guardian 20 in the fm...35mil, sheesh. Gonna attempt it around level 157. Inflation really does suck because when there's only one of a book on the markets, the seller can decide the price... Only bought it because the number of Pallys is so high now, any of them can go and buy the book, leaving me without.
