b/w gts

can you still evolve pokemon that require trading by putting one up for trade and then either waiting 24 hours or completing a trade?

my internet gets weird when i broadcast on .11b so i don't really want to pineapple around with it unless i know the "glitch" still works :[

what, like, put a karrablast in the GTS for a shellmet and wait for it to be traded to you?

like... put a seadra holding dragon scale into d/p/pt/hg/ss gts, wait 24 hours or make another trade (find some who wants a houndour for a weedle or something stupid), then take your seadra back and watch it evolve.

not sure if it'll work for shelmet and karrablast since that requires 2 pokemon being swapped for each other, but just about any other evolution will do it... magmar, electabuzz, rhydon, kadabra etc etc

ok... i'm gonna see if it works, i have nothing better to do than mess up my internet for a few hours

edit: placing a pokemon requiring trade for evolution up for trade and making other trades, then taking the one you want evolved back no longer procs an evolution. will see tomorrow if leaving the pokemon in gts for 24+ hours procs evolution (doubt it...)

I can definately, from experience, say that a karrablast- shelmet trade does cause them to evolve.

i can too, but that isn't what i was looking for.

leaving pokemon in gts for 24 hours no longer procs an evolution either, looks like the bug is totally fixed. have to actually find people to trade with to get your higher evolutions now.
