WOW a dead body

I can't believe it. About 3 weeks ago; there was a terrible smell in the back parking lot of my work (Mazda car dealership). I work in the service department fixing cars. Me and the other technicians figured it only smelled because someone threw away something bad in the dumpster back there. The smell stayed there for a little over a week and then went away.

Turns out it was a dead person and not trash. That is really really creepy .

The first thing my service writer said to me this morning was; "Well now we know what that smell was huh?"

When I got to work this morning, there was already police tape around the area the body was at, and a news van was there. At about 12 oclock, another news van showed up and there was a tent set up. It looked like they were camping out at the place waiting for the police to tell them what has happened. They even had a cooler and food lol.

I won't be able to sleep tonight

and why didnt you try to investigate the smell earlier?

I didn't think anything of the smell. Theres 2 dumpsters back there so I just figured it was from that.

Most people don't think to check out a nasty smell from a dumpster. It's a dumpster, they stink like pomegranate. This is kinda creepy. Don't have nightmares

u said u work for a dealer but on the article it only mentioned about a Lakeview Corporate Park o_O so i dont get it.. is ur dealer close to the park? o_O and they said they found the body like in the woods laying face down so the body wasn't in the dumpster like u said o_O

he never said it was in the dumpster, he said they thought it was in the dumpster

Sick. I wouldn't have done anything too, it was near a dumpster, so...

Lol... can't be as bad as my friend's situation. He was playing Counter strike with sound going full blast. Low and behold he hears a VERY loud gun shot. Unfortunately for him, someone got shot outside his house on the street. Needless to say, he was scared shitless...

I was just looking through the pictures...... and you can see the tent in one of the pictures, its blue lol.

Smell of decomp is horrible, and yeah, but it's nothing like finding a body yourself.
Like having someone die of a heartattack in the car in front of you at the traffic lights.
Now come to think of it, it reminds me of DeathNote. =___=

god that's gross. ugh if that ever happened to me I would be paranoid of bad smells..

What did the bad smell smell like? It'll help me identify the smell of a corpse in the future so that I wouldn't freak out instantly when I see it .
And yes I would be petrified for a week if I saw a dead and decaying body in front of me .
