Dear Players,


We will be performingan unscheduledmaintenance onMapleStory on March28th, 2011.A minor patch will be deployed to apply a security update and fix bugs.During this period,all game serverswill be unavailable.Thegamemaintenance will last approximately2.5 hours.


In addition to the security update, the bug causing the Piece of Cracked Dimension that is used to summon Papulatus to disappear when dropped will be fixed, and the missing March Chair King quest will be enabled--it can be activated by obtaining a Cat's Love Chair from Gachapon.

This. If they are fixing pap crack pieces then this most likely mean they will add a small patch.

Update:

The development team is working on a fix to address the item duplication exploit. The hot question is whether we will rollback servers or not. To that end, we need more time to determine the situation versus potential impact of such an action, and will provide a message about that when we can.

Aren't we going to have a scheduled one tomorrow or something?

And lol @ Rollback. Thanks ahead for the compensation, Nexon. But FFFFFFUUUUUU @ my 10 Lunar Dew. T_T

Exactly why I posted that here. *sigh*

Every rollback is an unscheduled downtime (happened alongside a patch too), so might as well relate the two because it's quite possible it'll happen in the same downtime.

I'd much rather hackers get to keep their duped stuff, if Nexon can't identify it (guess duplicated items get their own unique id somehow?)

This is exactly the opposite of a meso exploit, in that it can only cause deflation, not inflation. "The little guy" will eventually benefit from there being 10x or even 100x as many 30+ att gloves in the game as there "should" be. Yes, the hackers will get richer, but hackers always get rich anyway.

Nexon, think of all the honest people who've worked hard during the past however-long to level up, scroll, cube, pass books, collect Lunar Dews, etc etc... Don't toss all our effort in the bin in a vain attempt to prevent hackers from benefitting. Please...
