If you just got the game, you can't import old pokemon until you've beat the E4, and at that point you can catch one anyway.

Another person taking any starters 3rd gen and before. Lost my HG and Pearl with all the starters so I'm screwed over in that aspect unless they magically appear. Also taking a Sawk for my White Version. Throh isn't as good as I'd hoped.

You just need to get the prism scale item. One is in undella town I think, but I don't know where I found my other one.
