What pet equip would be best for a Bowmaster?
I stalled purchasing because of school and I wasn't decided yet, but I gotta buy it today =X
I know I'm getting a Baby Tiger, so thats 11.6k NX
I have 20,570 NX.. lul
So that leaves me with 8,970 NX (just missed 9k, lolol)
I really do not know whether a Meso Magnet, Auto HP, or Auto MP would be best for me..
I'mma Bowmaster, but I also want my pet to help out other characters in the future.
Plus, I'm at LHC, so they only way Meso Magnet would be helpful would be if I purchase Scales with it, no?
And I don't know whether a Bowmaster would benefit more from AutoHP (we have low HP)
Or AutoMP (we spam Hurricane.. but we need to recast it regardless to enable FA)
So, thoughts? No idea wtp would help me most ._.
Not experienced with pets
Thx

i don't think meso magnet is gonna be too useful, as a warrior, it's pretty good considering i am all on the monster's face, but even with scales and binocular, the pet won't cover as much range as hurricane has.
i dunno if a pet accesory would help you, i scrolled mine for +6 jump, then again, warriors :S
for bossing auto HP/MP is nice to have, mostly because of those 1/1's boss throw, so i would greatly recommend you get one or the other, and as has been said, in 1/1 scenarios, you can put elixirs and such in either MP or HP pouch slots

Whoah, really? You can put elixers? That almost sounds like a glitch =X
That really intrigues me to purchase one or the other..

you can only put potions that restore what the pouch is supposed to restore, i wouldn't be surprised if you could put an apple in there.
but yes, both hp and mp pouch can hold these potions power/elixirs, ginsengs, that 40% black one, basically, if it restores HP, you can put it in HP pouch, same with MP and MP pouch

Auto HP's all I wanted/got for my Shadloller. I can deal with looting items, I bomb the mesos, and can pot my MP just fine.
For a BM, I'd probably do the same. You know when you want to loot a drop or not, and if you're like me, you won't bother with etc drops/mesos. Pet accessories would only be worth it if they release pet scrolls for atk(imo at least). No idea how fast Hurricane drains your MP, but you should be able to bare manually potting it.
A second too late with potting for HP could mean a loss of 5~10% exp(and a boring walk back up to LHC ).

was thinking about this, not to mention, a 1/1 at bosses is life threatening too, only downside to getting either is, your potting reflexes will become horrible, i have tried manual pot with sac, and it goes ugh

Thanks guys
The only reason why I'm still thinking about Auto MP is because if you didn't know, we can't use Hp/Mp pots while in Hurricane.. so a AutoMP would allow me to Hurricane foreverz (but without FA, so nvm)
Auto HP it is
Now, should I or should I not get the Wings for my Baby Tiger and scroll for Jump? :o

if by the last day you don't have enough money to get anything else, sure, do it, hope the scrolling doesn't fail hard though

Scrolling for jump/speed, when max jump/speed are EASILY obtained as it without it, is kinda pointless. s:

Just so you know. Auto HP (with elixirs, power elixirs, etc), or Auto MP with those pots help you to Hurricane without potting, but remember the pet will only heal you once if you stay in the same spot using Hurricane. After the pet's healed you once, it can't heal you again until you move (which isn't that hard with step Hurricane), but that's just a reminder for when you're pinning bosses and whatnot.

This is not true, I've played a bow master for nearly 2 years now with and without auto hp/mp. When a boss hits you it will knock you to a different spot but it will not prevent you from being healed twice just because you didnt move. Example: Zakum deals 1/1 and he miss, your pet wont heal you but you run out of mp and your pet will heal that. Zak use 1/1 again and at that moment it will heal you even if you didnt move since auto mp healed your mp.

Sacrifice isn't really related to hurricane as far as I can see. Hurricane says in the description that you cannot pot while using the skill, and mp autopot on my BM doesn't work until I let up on the atk button and then depress again. But I don't have to move, just pause in the atk. For that reason I give my BM very large mp pots so I don't have to mp pot often.
I definatly think auto hp is the best choice for a BM.

You can't pot during hurricane. Pets only pot you once during it. If a bowmaster is using hurricane, a pet will not potion you more than once, period, until you stop casting hurricane, though simply letting go of your hurricane key for a split second is enough to let your pet potion you again. It has nothing to do with moving or not, (though hurricane will only fire a certain amount of final attack arrows before the attack limit kicks in and you have to move to reset that)

That's because each sacrifice is a different attack, whereas hurricane is a continuous attack.

When he says do not move, it means your CHARACTER does not move, not your physical commands to the character. When zakum hits you with a 1/1, then the attack has made you move backwards (or forwards, depending on which side you stand on). The whole not potting part is only relevant when we kill bosses we can puppet (for example, pap, bodyguards/grandpa). Additionally, because hurricane is considered a continuous attack, as LittlePrincess has said, when you quickly pause hurricane, then your autopot will work again.
For myself, I plan to get both auto hp and mp, and the basic item pouch and meso magnet. For myself, autopot is more about DPS more than survivability; I very rarely die (I've had like...5 charms expire on me because 90 days were up), but everytime I have to stop to pot, my hurricane is interrupted, and that one second means 8-10 fewer arrows, or 300ishk of damage (...least I think my math is right), which can add up over time.

And then it must be something wrong with GMS pet system because the way I explain it is how it works in EMS.
But whatever Im not gonna discuss this futher, get auto hp/mp its the best option for a bowmaster, without it @ zak is pretty annoying imo.

Wouldn't you just get Auto HP, rather than both?
This is my last question..
I will definitely be using elixers when bossing from now on.
But as for training at LHC, I usually only getting hit when trying to rush monsters together.. after that I'm spamming Inferno/Hurricane in which case, I'll need AutoMP rather than elixers..
Which is my question, wouldn't Auto MP serve more useful for when I don't need my HP auto healed?
I'm sure you get my point :p

Because there are some places where I never get hit and constantly need my mp replenished (namely Pap, BGA, BGB).

Here's the thing. You just named a use for both auto hp and mp. You're not a mage, that can depend on auto mp to keep them alive because they can take 8 hits before dying cause they only take 20% of the damage. You're an archer that will, in most cases, die in 2-3 hits. This is where auto-hp is better, as running out of mp won't kill you, but running out of hp will. However, as I mentioned above, I'm paying for auto mp purely for the niche of bossing with puppet.
In theory, with just one of the pouches, you waste a lot of money overpotting, which WILL eventually catch up to using both, however long it might take.
Technically, neither are absolutely essential, because you can pot yourself, and this is all rather a point of convenience. And I havent seen anyone else look at it this way, but what I'm really paying for is a peace of mind. Buying both, I know I'll never have to worry about pet equips again, for whatever new thing may come out in the future. Right now, you may not get hit at LHC after you mob them, but what happens if a new training area comes out that'll involve you getting hit? Or what happens if there's a boss that never hits you that comes out, and you just need to spam hurricane to eternity, but chose auto hp instead?
In the end, it comes down to which you feel is more important, and which you can afford. In my case, it's both, in yours perhaps just one, but whatever choice you make, know that both of them WILL benefit you to some degree in whatever situation.
