EU server or NA server?

Were there a lot of Euros on the NA server on Thursday/Friday, or was it just me?

Not to directly reply what you just said, but if there is a lot of people on EU, sometimes you get redirected to a US server and you end up with like 140 ping. Not sure if the people you face are actually on the US servers, but ya.

I play on the EU server because I'm from The Netherlands and I think there isn't any difference between the two? (or is there?) Either way I'm going to sleep now and I'm looking forward to trying more champions tomorrow after school.

Played a game with Kajiti right now. I did pretty bad at the beginning (got ganked when everyone was missing, that was stupid) but we owned later.

Which Quintessence runes are the best for casters, like Karthus? (I'm currently using my HP flat and HP5 Quintessences on a temporary basis, lol)

I'm serious.

And best quints in the game are HP. Arpen can be used on carries, but if you're just getting around to buying runes you should go for HP quints and mana reg/ level yellow first.

Just downloaded this game to see what it was all about and I have to say that for the 4 games that I played that I absolutely love it! I only tried 2 champions yet and I really sync well with the second one I picked: Lux. I only played against bots but trapping enemies with the first spell works well when you're either running away from enemy troops or you want to kill an enemy hero. Then there is the second spell which I level up very late because I don't see much use in it... Then her third spell is awsome for leveling quickly since I can usually get 6 little mobs in it. Then her cannon like amazing last spell which is just plain awsome and overkill . Looking forward to playing some other champions then her and see if they all have awsome move sets.

You should max her third skill first. The first one snares for the same amount of time at all levels, iirc and her sphere is better for offence. The snares only use is for setting up her lazer. Level her first skill after the third is done/ when you can't level it.

On the flip side of the coin, I prevented two ganks on bot with wards, and even turned the first gank into a counter-gank. TF TP'd literally a third of a screen xD

Also, I had the creepy feeling that no one really quite knew what Irelia does. When they would provoke me, sometimes I would go after them, sometimes I just keep farming like nothing's happening. And when I do more than two moves on someone, they Ghost, then I just point and laugh and say "haha I wasted ur spellz". Then the next time they would poke me, they die. Mind games, oyas!

Playing with Karthus today

I looked at my Karthus replay, and boy I saw some f'ucking nubby mistakes I shouldn't have made. Walls is definitely one of them.

I played a game as nasus, solo top.
I sat in the lane, and farmed.
The Jax and Kat tried to kill me when I hit six, resulting in a double kill.
Then Jax went mid, so it was me and Kat top.
Seriously, in 23 min my SS was at +279 or so. 158 minion kills.
Then I went to mid, and they surrendered.

I play a game right after.
I call solo top.
Game starts, our Kat goes top.
I was all like :/
Then I said "fine, I'll solo bot"
Akali's all like "NO KAT SOLO NOOB"
I'm like "fine"
Kat feeds 0/3
Akali really screws with my SS, so at 10 min I'm only at +69
we get ganked by their jungler, akali dies.

Note to self: after winning a game, don't expect to win doing the exact same thing again.

He's serious, like I stated before. Also best quints for karthus are HP or MPen take your pick.

On a side note, having some fun playing ranked, i'm in mid 1500's now. So many ups and downs but it's starting to balance. In the beginning I would lose 4x+ elo for a loss and gain 20 for a win but now it seems to average out and i'm gaining and losing around 20.

Sigh, had a few dissapointing games even when I made some premades. Seems like I'm going through streaks of wins and losses. I get like 3-4 wins, then 3-4 losses. Kinda sucks when you do everything right, but one or two people's mistakes lose the game for you. Can't say I played any of them perfectly, but I was doing quite well.

Like, my last few normals i did in a row and i won them all. Im expecting the next couple of games to be losses to even it out. But i did go Sona for the first time out of practise games and went 1/0/5 before the other team surrendered

So i heard lux gonna get nerfed/reworked (More support less caster).

Of course this is just a rumor i heard from someone i met in a CoOp play, he said someone(A developer or something maybe) with a K or F name confirmed it in the forums (too lazy to look for the post).

That's old dante. Shurelia told us before the last patch that she was getting a small change. It was just .10 from her ultimate ap ratio basically moved over to the base of her shield's protection. It was so tiny you cannot even notice it, and that's exactly how she put it.

I need to address the suicide karthus thing too while I'm at it. That is generally a bad idea to feed the enemy carries kills because you want to jump into a fight and die immediately due to being super squishy even with a RoA. Majority of the time it's a bad idea to suicide as karthus because while you may be getting fed, so are the enemy carries who in most cases will carry harder than you. Good karthus' learn to use their wall correctly and mainly use their q to pre-emptively strike the enemy carry running out of your defile. In most cases a good karthus will have slowed them as well, making landing multiple q's easy.

Will unless you are trying to pubstomp, any team with half a brain will kill you and run out of defile/laywaste range immediately leaving you god damn useless for your team.
Remember that the main focuses of winning a game is these three things: 1)Killing towers 2)NOT DYING 3)Map control and awareness. Getting kills is not going to win your game
for you, not dying is far more beneficial to your team than trying to rambo pomegranate.

I agree karthus should learn to deny enemy carries he can do so very well by dominating his lane and keeping the enemy from farming. The suicide thing is dumb in a sense but while he may be feeding the said carry he also destroys the same carry late game with his ult lol.

Nah, I know it happens, it's just rare to have it be so repeatedly outside of my control/fault. I make mistakes, and I have crappy games, so it's not like every loss is due to other people. Just seemed like I played fairly well the last few games and it just wasn't enough to make up for my team. I suppose I could have just not mentioned it, but it always feels good to vent, even if it's something that everyone experiences all the time.

Umm what the heck is going on with LoL? The website is down and launcher says unavailable.

It was the same for EU. 'An issue we are looking into' said a Red.

EU is back up now though, with a nice over 9000 queue for 40mins to log in
