So, what's next for Pokemon. R/S remakes? Head straight for 6th Gen?

After playing through the end of B/W, Looker says that N was seen in a far distant land sporting a dragon Pokemon.

I was thinking, what if distant land = Hoenn, considering it's mentioned that Hoenn is the most distant from every other region, and N makes an appearance, possibly a battle too, in an R/S remake?

I would be okay with that.

Or should they just cut to the chase and jump straight on the 6th Gen now?

I think that a r/s remake would be best, considering the lack of originality or quality for the 5th gen pokemons. But they could continue to add on to other features without a whole other 150 pokemons.

R/S Remake please.

It was the weakest one in terms of the game.

It's Hoenn, and the dragon is Rayquaza.

With the increased storyline importance in B/W, I'd love to see R/S with a much deeper storyline as well.
Include May/Brendan and Wally in the story more, too. I'd like to see a scenario where Wally is held hostage by Magma/Aqua, that would be cool beans.

Gym Leader involvement wouldn't be hard either. Roxanne dealing with the Rustboro Magma/Aqua invasion, something involving Brawly and the cave, New Maulville attempted takeover by Magma/Aqua and you and Wattson have to tag team rape them there, Flannery at Mt Chimney holding off Maxie/Archie, YOUR DAD, etc, etc.

Emerald Version was where the game actually passed for "mediocre".

That and it had the best (as in hardest) Battle Frontier.

I would love an RSE remake. I loved RSE as a whole, I felt that (before BW) it had the deepest and most interesting storyline and most interesting landscape.

Emerald was my first pokemon game. though i had collected cards since the first ones. So i did not pay attention to details as much as i would now. But it was still a great game to me at the time.

That could work. N befriending Rayquaza (before we come and get him) would be kinda cool.

RSE had interesting Pokemon and design, but really bad gameplay with extremely long routes filled with trash and no rest points, and the corniest storyline ever. If they were to do a remake, I'd want to see major improvements in game design.

If they do a remake, I only want to see one thing changed; Make Ralts easier to find plx :<

N should be like "So it was you who quelled the rage of Groudon/Kyogre with the Ruby/Sapphire Orb and in turn awoke Rayquaza, whom I have now befriended? Hm, your presence here reminds me of a great trainer I battled in my home land. This certain trainer showed me that there was more than black and white to the relationship between People and Pokemon, perhaps you can show me your bond as well?" BEGIN BATTLE.

And then after, he releases Rayquaza and allows you to battle/capture it.

that would be hardcore.

A RSE remake with Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn would be nice.

I liked R/S more than D/P and R/B myself. The storyline was just okay and the abundance of water routes was retardedly bad but I liked the overall progression of the game, and Hoenn was a pretty cool place.

The charater for May/Brendan and Wally weren't done as well as they could have been though.

Another thing I thought of for storyline improvement is perhaps Magma/Aqua could be manipulating Wally into awakening Groudon/Kyogre.

>Add a legend that involves a young, frail trainer who managed to stop the war between Groudon/Kyogre because he had the ability to "speak" to them (N style), but in turn lost his life to keep them at peace.

And now Magma/Aqua believes that Wally, who fits the description of young, frail trainer , can do the opposite and awaken one of them to fulfill their pretty retarded land/ocean expansion thing.

...Wally will have the ability to talk to Pokemon like N, and it should be revealed somewhere that Ghetsis is his father.
GREEN HAIR DAMN IT.

The storyline of R/S was absolutely poor. Emerald barely upgraded it. R/S/E was their first try at actually introducing a "plot" into Pokemon and it shows. It was amateurish.

It needs a remark to do it justice.

Quite honestly, I'd like a supergame - one that has all of the main regions and side-places (Sevii Islands, etc) - where you're able to explore everything, fight every gym leader, take on different teams (or one whole team that moves from region to region).

I realize that'd be a LOT to put into one game, but oh man, it would be epic.... Shine

You know the story is representative of the struggles of living in japan right? They're under constant threat of Tsunami (...) and Volcanic eruption; I think it was nicely depicted in an interesting story, all things considered.

Surfing speed increase.
Less encounters while surfing.
Surfing speed increase.

That is all.

If R/S/E gets remade than we need a FR/LG remake as well, unless they're going to save that for Gen 6, unless they remake D/P/P which means it would have to wait until Gen 7. . .

Really, the remakes need to end. Just make a 6 gen mega massive Pokemon set that allows you to explore Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova and a new area.

I didn't know that, that's interesting. It would seem kinda like bad timing if they do make a remake with that in mind, considering what's going on there now, though.

Also, I think it'd be a lot better if Aqua/Magma had a different agenda rather than trying to expand the land/sea for no real reason.

Perhaps Maxie could be masquerading Team Magma with the goal to prevent the sea from harming the land, but have some darker ulterior motive that involves Groudon.
Vice Versa for Archie, creating Team Aqua to prevent the land from harming the sea, but his intention is to obtain Kyogre.

There could be a back story for Maxie/Archie where their hometown is Pacifidlog and it was devastated during their childhood which traumatized them.

The town would be practically engulfed in water in Ruby, and devastated by a volcano in Sapphire. Opelucid style differences.

Then there could be random groups that support Magma/Aqua because of their "good intentions" and that's how Wally would get sucked into their ploy!
