Eden of the East Movies: (just gonna copy what I posted elsewhere with some editing)

After watching both movies, I’m not really sure how I feel about the series as a whole. It feels like the show’s focus was on the game, while the movies focused on the political situation and the meaning behind the game… and I don’t really think that was a good thing, for me at least. I will say that King of Eden and Paradise Lost were both interesting and, well, very good, but they took the series in a direction that (without spoiling anything) didn’t really lead to a satisfying ending. I also think that both the show and King of Eden are flawed in that they don’t really have an end, which is fine when you’re watching the show and both movies relatively close together, but I can’t imagine having to wait for Paradise Lost to come out after seeing King of Eden.

I did enjoy it enough that I know I'll want to rewatch it in the future though, so I plan on picking it all up on BD... after Paradise Lost comes out, of course. c:

K-ON!! Ep 27 (Special) - Haha. Started laughing when Mio's photo was rejected because she tied her hair up. XD

Anyways, best Yui quote ever: "No rice, no life".

Kore Wa Zombie Desuka? 10 The awesomeness at the start of this episode... swiftly turned into wtp territory. Was ANYTHING resolved in this episode, other than finding out what the villain wanted? and the end was rushed and didn't make sense
 Spoiler
The characters are getting a bit boring as well, why hasn't Haruna tried to get back her powers yet?

This anime started to go downhill after the awesomeness that was the 6th episode. I'll still watch the rest of it though, to see if it redeems itself

Kore wa Zombie 10: I personally think this show started going downhill after the first few episodes. I feel like this show is trying to get you to take its characters and plot seriously. There were points in the beginning when that sad music would play, and I'd go into serious anime watching mode, but really there's no way I can do that anymore.

Level E 10: Baseball episode was great. It's good to see the characters from the first arc back.

Air Gear- Break on the Sky 2
: I have a very basic understanding of the plot, but I never read the manga so I don't really know what's going on. I must say I don't like how Air Gear's adopted a super powers shonen battle style for their fights. The first ova episode was much better in my opinion.

edit:
Black Lagoon Roberta's Blood Trail 4: One of the first scenes with Roberta fighting Shenhua, Sawyer, and the other guy was awesome. Rock showed just how much of a master tactician he really is. I feel like in the future he could become one of the bosses of Roanapur. The conversation between Revy and Fabiola was interesting. I really hope they develop Rock and Revy's relationship more in the next episode or any possible future ones.

Kimi ni Todoke 10: The timing of that earthquake warning was almost as bad as Joe's.
Finally no more misunderstandings! (except between Ryuu and Chizu) When they were showing everyone's reactions to Kazehaya and Sawako getting together I was surprised they did not include Kurumi. Then it zooms into a close-up between the two facing each other and holding hands. Then Kazehaya wipes the tears from Sawako's face. Then he moves his head closer to hers and she gets flustered... then they bump heads. -_-

I really can't take much from just looking at synopsis. I'll just do as always and wait for the general opinion on the first and second episodes of what comes out before jumping in...

Hourou Musuko 10: So many amazing moments in this episode. I love watching the interactions between the characters in this show because they seem so genuine. None of the characters are stereotypes, but they still seem to accurately portray the middle school kids that they are. I'm a bit worried about the ending though. They did a pretty big time leap this episode, but I still don't think it can reach a satisfying conclusion in only one more episode.
On a side note, Momoko finally gets her first real line in the entire show, and now I hate her.

edit: What?! That was the last episode. Or at least a compilation of episode 10 and 11. I probably should have figured that out from the title at the end "10 + 11". No wonder things seemed like they were going at such a fast pace. Now I have to wait until August 24th and September 21st to see the full episodes. And there's going to be an extra 12th episode too. I already pretty much gave my impression of the series. I really hope the 12th episode continues and gives a conclusion to the series and isn't just a side story though.
re-edit: Ok, so I just found out that Hourou Musuko will actually be airing its 12th episode next week. Yay for not having to wait half a year for the conclusion.

Spring anime series I plan to watch in relative order of my anticipation/expectations:

TV
C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control- That title. The description. Noitamina. The preview artwork. That title.
Ano Hana- I can see this turning out to be a really great show.
Hanasaku Iroha- I can also see this turning out be good.
Deadman Wonderland- I've heard mixed things about the manga, but the concept seems interesting.
Steins; Gate- Time machine microwaves.
Nichijou- The OVA was pretty good. I need to see the robot arm hide that roll cake.
The World God Only Knows 2- I feel obligated to find out if the second season actually gets any better.

Also, possibly Kaiji second season if I can get around to watching the first season soon.

New OVA/Movies
Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo- Probably won't get to see it until it's released on DVD, which won't be any time soon.
Norageki!- I think this could be pretty good.
Fireball Charming- I recently watched the first series. It's not the best thing I've ever seen, but it has a nice "charm" to it.
Young Animator Training Project- I like short stories

There are a couple others I might be interested in watching, but I'll wait to see what people think of their first couple episodes before deciding.

Hourou Musuko 10+11: It was great seeing events from the perspective of some of the other characters, rather than just Nitori. Like seeing that his sister really does worry about him. Some of the interaction in this episode was nice, but there was a lot of hate going around, and to see characters throwing words like "freak" around with no consequence was kinda unsettling.

For the series as a whole, i liked it on its own, but i cant help but feel that i missed out on a lot for not reading the manga, which is why i'm considering reading it to see what happens next, though to be honest, i dont like the manga's art style.

It was a good conclusion, i just wish there could have been more too it, like between Nitori and Takatsuki, she hardly even showed up in this episode, and then she "caught a cold" and disappeared completely. Gah! So much for that romance (or any romance at all, none were really resolved)

The manga's...explicit. It's a blood-and-gorefest, to say the least. I'm wondering just how explicit they'll make the anime. I do not expect to see uncensored severed heads with blood still dripping from them.

Oh it will. The captures only get more awesome from that point onward. I doubt they're gonna hit the Goddess arc by the end of the second season though...they'll probably need a third season...

Dragon Crisis 10 & 11: Terrible show is terrible.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?: 10: EUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~

Infinite Stratos 11: How is this getting a second season what the f

Yumekui Merry 11: Oh God, the scene with Mistelteinn and Iijima in their dream was hot.

To Aru Majutsu no Index II 23: God damn, you can really tell the earthquake had an effect on this episode. Holy shiiiiit, I don't even... Slow paced episode with some filler garbage in the middle, and GROUP debuts. Next episode is gonna be anticlimactic prelude to a sequel announcement or possibly a movie, like everything in the pineappleing world is trending.

K-ON!! 27: hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

Mahou Sensei Negima! Mou Hitotsu no Sekai 05: Yue <3 Can't believe this took so long to be subbed. God damn SHAFT and their black borders. What the pomegranate is this, I expect 720p from 720p source, not 480p with black bars to fit 720p 70% of the time, and then another 20% of the time the video is 4:3.

Next season is gonna be rough; I have my sights set on 16~20 series, of which I'll probably only end up watching ~7

Kimi ni Todoke 10: I'm happy for them.

Durarara 25: Nice to see all the characters again. Is it going to get a second season?

Index 22: Always a right hand to the face... Loved how the guy was just kicking Accelerator while completely ignoring Index. Made me rewatch the end of Eva 2. I hope the third one comes out soon.

23: I forget the redhead's story. Academy City starts a war and what they end up showing is people beating up nameless lv 0 bad guys, interesting. I do want to know more about the doctor though.

It feels like I already commented on Spring 2011 before. Anyway, I'm looking forward to Steins;gate and Maria Holic 2. The other Shaft show, too. Fireballs is also cool.

Yumekui Merry ep.11 - This show is awesome for a lot of reasons, but even more so now that this guy is in it!
 Spoiler

Dragon Crisi ep.11 - Yeah, this show's story isn't really clicking for me. Kind of sad too, I thought it would have been better based off of the first three episodes. Still, it's entertaining, so I won't be dropping it, and if there's a second season I might watch that too.

Index II ep.23 - Well, Accelerator got a little upgrade, and I can't help but notice that Touma didn't end up in the hospital this time. The hell's up with that? :f6:

Freezing ep.11 - Wow, this series would have been significantly better with more episodes like this one. This episode had all the action the other ones did, but the enemies attacked parts of the body other than breasts. Oh, and Satella managed to go a full episode without getting her clothes ripped off for once.

I started up Roberta's Blood Trail 4, which made me realize I hadn't watched 3, and I think I haven't watch 2 either, but eh.

Black Lagoon Roberta's Blood Trail 3 & 4:
Gah, I love this stuff. Wish we could have shows this awesome more often than every other year or so. Roberta is one of the most batpomegranate insane characters I can remember watching. Johnny Come Marching Home is a brilliant choice of ED. So intense.

For next season, I guess I'll need to watch Chaos;head.

Definite watches:
Deadman Wonderland
C

If I have the time and interest:
Ao no Exorcist
Toriko
Nichijou
Hidan no Aria

Noitamina's gonna have a Production IG show and a Bones show starting in July. Shame the IG show is a josei, but I might watch it anyway because Noitamina+IG. Yeah.

Oh, yeah, Kampfer, lol. That show's pretty hilarious, even if it's fan-service written all over. It's only an OVA though, so I've heard. Supposed to be only two episodes.

Fractale 10: The conversation between Phryne and the Grand Priestess Phyrne was the only interesting part.

Bakuman 24: More waiting for results. Shady-looking guy in the background is probably going to get a manga serialized.

Star Driver 24: It looks like there will finally be a proper mecha battle in the show for the finale and not just a 5 minute one with half of it being reused animations.

2 episodes is enough, IMO. that show was hilarious in small doses.
