Getting bored of Maple as of late. Thinking about trying out this game, especially now with that event going on.

Typically how long does it take to download/install the client? And how are Archers (or Gunslingers) in this game?

Mechs are the only decent Gunner in the long term.

It depends on what you like. I don't really like Gunners, but they can use ballistics which are Launchers, use ammunition and other grenades which are Spitfires,
be close range, and use guns and melee which are Rangers, or build machines to do the work for them which are mechanics.
You should watch some trailers.
I think the game is like 1.5g or something? I don't really remember.

Gunners are lovely. To be more specific, F. Mechs are very, very, lovely. Build robots and blow everything up. I made both a Male Ranger and Female Mech. F. Mechs are god tier solo classes hands down.

Launchers, shoot massive guns. Okay, that one is a little like Archers.
Fourth Class, shoot bullets CHARGED WITH THE ELEMENTS! Okay, that one is more like a Paladin Archer than Asuras.

In the end however you could call any ranged class in DFO close to normal Archers since there isn't a normal Archer like class in DFO.

Yeah, I'd say Launchers are the most archer-like - plenty of long-range spam. Spitfires using bowguns are also very archer-like, plus grenades.

The others are more archer like, but Mechs (recommended: Female) will probably be best sub-class for her as a beginning character since they have enough power to get by with a clean gun and few pots. They are also the most PvE solo friendly out of the 4 once you know what you're doing. Haven't made a Spitfire so I can't have a clear cut opinion on them, but with a 42 M. Ranger, 31 F. Launcher, and 59 F. Mech I can easily say F. Mech wins by a landslide on solo-ability (and being able to act as ranged nuking support when in a party). All I hear about Spitfires is running out of MP after a few rooms, which doesn't sound good as a starting character.

Plus, if you have even level one jackie, you can group everyone up, and presume kicking their asses.

Battle Mages are only acceptable now during this lv60 Cap.
