I'm not doing this. It's cancelled. Someone else can go.

I can't believe that Infection's game got 20 and there aren't two more people willing to sign up for mine. Whatever. Someone else go.

Yeah, ElectricSix and I are waiting for Ray's approval. We're in the final stages of balancing, it's a shame that your game couldn't go forward though.

It could be flavor-related. Almost everyone has heard of/played Brawl. I'm not saying Battlestar Galactica isn't well known, but it is probably less popular on a forum like this (IMO, anyways).

Personally I usually plan for around 20 roles in SP Mafia, but expect around 12-16. Maybe you can try it again another time Meph, I know I was looking forward to it.

Doctor Who is going to go down real good if that is the case.

It's not even that. No game before this has ever had less than 16 players, as far as I can recall. OK, maybe one has. But it's not unreasonable in the least to expect 16 participants, and I designed my game around that as a minimum. I'm just disappointed, is all.

I just realized that both of Infection's games have had 20 players.

I plan mafia games for 14 people at this point, and then work up from there. SPMafia just seems to be slowing down as the craze of newness wears off. If I knew other people who could join I'd tell them to.

Speaking of which, I think I might design a more serious game of mafia soon, just for old time's sake, and by more serious, I'm talking about 2-3 day cycles with a maximum of 10 players, forcing more thought and less guessing.

With the way the SP mafia population is evolving I'm seeing more and more people who just afk on all games. When half the people afk all the time the game becomes really lame for those without powers.

I'd much appreciate a game that stimulates more day debates by giving it more time, 1 day is not much considering there are people on more than 10 hours difference of time zone. Most games for me have been posting while people sleep and not have the chance to respond to them since the day will be over when I come back on.

Which is one of the problems. But mainly we need a way to prevent massive afkness.

I was thinking of a MLP themed mafia but I guess most people wouldn't be interested in the theme.

Usually I don't really care about what the theme is, and judging from the number of completely clueless people who joined Venture Bros and this mafia I don't thing others care much either unless they explicitly hate MLP.

That's the problem, there are some people that hate it.

Then design it for fewer players, I think the people who frequent mafia games are mature enough to just ignore a game that they don't like the theme of instead of boycotting it or something.

Doesn't really work. Stephen tried it in Batman mafia and it only worked slightly, going anymore than he did with it would be ruining the spirit of having fun.

Not if you can find another person to join you, it isn't.
