Are whites racially oppressed?

I've always found it interesting how society believes that only "White people" can be racist. And don't try to deny it, because you know that's how it is. If you are white and you insult someone of different ethnicity, you are racist. If a black person insults a white person, it isn't a big deal or it is just payback.

How the pineapple is that fair?

The intention is that most black kids are starting out worse than everyone else. The decades of discrimination has left the, in the lower rungs of society so affirmative action hopes to pull more of them out.

Absolutely. In an attempt to reduce racism it has been nothing but increased. I can count the number of scholarships I can apply for on one hand after you've got my thumb off. And even then I've got too many. They're also worth less than $10k and only tenable for one year. Then I like at ONE specific scholarship for Maori, worth 10s of thousands, tenable for 3-4 years, and more than 20 are offered a year. That is just one example and applicable to my country. But there's no doubting white people are now the oppressed by default.

Depends on what you are talking about. I'm talking about things like Affirmative Action, which only favour some people over others, or the Selective service which requires men, but not women to sign up. None are fair at all, regardless of intentions.
We are not talking about welfare programs that are based on merit (or lack of merit).

Some areas of the country are different that the rest. I live in an area that lacks racism. Although, I have run into a few sexists pricks. Most being feminists.
Go to Detroit though... and race definitly is an issue down there. At least this is what I felt every time I went there.

Cracker is a racist term, as is nigger, but you don't see blacks being labeled racists for saying the word cracker do you? And how come when black people call other black people "nigga" it's ok? I really don't see the logic in that. It's still a racist term no matter what race is saying it.

Yes because comparing a recently populated term that compares humans skin color to salted wheat is totally on the level for a word which has historical significance being used as describing a person of being less of worth, ignorant, less then human, a work horse.

Well around my community, if someone was saying some racist against a white person, they would be considered racist. And isn't it more "living under a rock" to have never heard someone being labelled as racist against white people?

I don't see what's so astonishing about a society where racism to one race is the same as racism to another race... It seems like simple logic to me. I mean, shouldn't it be a given that black people can be just as racist to white people as the other way around?

Regarding "cracker" and "nigger", though, you have to look at the intent. If they're saying it in a racist way, it's racist. If they're just saying it as a word, then it's not racist.
