Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread

I'm kinda on the fence. There are games where I want to end the pubstomping being done to me immediately, and there are games where I want to try til the bitter end. A lot depends on your team and what's going on. When I tank, if people repeatedly refuse to fight when I initiate team fights, or repeatedly wander off to lane while we're trying to do that, I tend to want to just end the game. It's not going to be something we can come back from when I die immediately to 5 people every time, and my team is busy doing other things. That doesn't mean I'll afk if the surrender vote fails or whatever, but I'll keep on voting for it til it either goes through, or the other team wins. If we're all doing well, but the other team is just better composition, or better team work, or better players, I usually want to fight it out til the end. I don't mind losing honorably, I just hate to lose because 1 or 2 of my team mates aren't doing anything/fooling around. I don't think you need to take things too seriously, but if you're just going to play to troll, I'd rather play with some people who actually can have fun and want to win.

@Greygor: Maokai is probably being banned right now because of the glitch we were discussing earlier.

Edit: As an example, I was just playing a game as Amumu, we had at least 5 team fights where one person was still laning or off in the jungle. I repeatedly told said people to stop doing that and join in for the team fights. It did not turn out well at all, and so once we hit a certain point, I just kept on doing surrender votes when I could. I kept trying to win, but I knew things weren't going to change after each of those team fights failed so hard.

I never surrender.
Same for HoN, i never concede.
Same for DotA, i never leave till the game is over.
And it's probably due to DotA that i never leave surrender or concede, because you simply didnt leave in DotA.

I don't play to win, if you reach a point where you only find the game fun when you win you're doing it wrong IMO.
I've had some of my best and funniest games where i lost.

It's not all games that people want to just wait for the surrender time, it's just that if you're getting steamrolled and your mates are feeding, etc. and there's no possible way that you could win, yet for some reason the enemy team is not ending the game, it's time to surrender. No argument can possible be made to make it a good choice to stay in such situations. There is no "honor" in being pummeled in a video game. The only "honor" one has in a video game is not playing broken characters that just ruin everything for everyone.

Well to be fair pineapple... we've been in a fair amount of games together that were going to be lost no matter what due to teammates, not once did you leave even knowing we were dead meat.
I know you are better than that, leaving is for sissies.

Aside from the strange conversation that's been spawned above me.. I'm on my third mouse now since I started playing LoL. The first one was flat out worn out from playing LoL (no joke) and the second
one was my favorite and it just stopped working on me yesterday. I went out and bought a $30 mouse by logitech that's pretty neat and works well, but it is smaller than either of my previous two mice.
I am hoping I can get used to such a small mouse. It hadn't occurred to me that smaller might be bad for my long fingers/hands.

Guys, I just posted that goddamm game back then when I was 95% sure we were going to lose. We had ALL turrets down except for one turret guarding one inhibitor. Nexus turrets were down, we were defending like crazy. They other team had at least 20 more kills than us. Our Janna had no kills, I had like 2 Feast stacks, and I was the only one with a positive k/d (barely). Yet we somehow managed to ambush them at Baron and we managed to win.

 Match for reference again.

Im not saying i get a mad rage every single game, i just get it for that Odd match where my teammates are just way too busy jungling while we are in the late game-team fights and down to 5 towers.

I have lost a good numbers of times and i either laught it off if it was a good match or get a mini rage inside because of stupid moves i did or a member could have done.

When im playing with good people that know how to communicate and are at a good place when team fights are most likely to erupt i stick for them until the bitter end. Like this one match were we went down to only the Nexus tower and me as gankplank with anivia and heimerdinger, we started a defensive game that lasted for about 1h and 30min until the enemy team finally destroyed our tower and nexus.

But when people are just doing their own thing, abandoning lanes-team fights to go jungling for "Cash" and don't call for mias or possible ganks who wants to stay with people like that?

@Corn: i admit games like that exist, but if your team didn't even know were they are standed or something do you think you would have accomplished that feat?

Best ever build for late game ownage.

Start regrowth pendant+health pot.
Get Philo stone, ninja tabi, 3 hearts of gold. Order doesnt matter. Continue with normal build, sell HoG when you need an item slot, sell ninja tabi for boot of choice later.

Its so good. Health/mana regen, armor and health. Everything you need for laning. Do not try however if you are prone to getting crushed in 20 minute games, as this will only shine in 30 minutes +.

 Dem Bots..

Longest bot game ive had i think. They had us down to our nexus at one point. Doubt they would have got that far if the Yi didnt ragequit after he died <__<

Oh and the fiddles was useless if nobody can tell lol. Ended up backdooring all their Inhibs with Nocturne as they went down mid lane cos we couldnt fight them 3v5 (morg had to afk for dinner near the end)

God Southperry, that was one of the dumbest laggy games I ever had.

Yup yup, servers are back to pomegranate status, AGAIN.
Even less of a reason to care about the game until then =/

My good computer died because of LoL so I can't play anymore until it's fixed... so that's at least a week..................

Whelp, thanks to the server lagz0rz, I experience the invisible champion glitch! Pretty hilarious if I do say so myself. At first, I thought Caitlyn was having super balls taking down Ryze (who was with Shen) in a few seconds without any serious AD. Then I started seeing my team's Lux stuff flying everywhere, but having absolutely no clue as to where she was. I couldn't even give her mana (Soraka) because the game thought she's dropped off the map entirely.

Quitting then reconnecting to the game fixed it.

Maokai wasn't banned by players reginald released a video and like 5minutes later he was a disabled character so it could not be due to the glitch that made ray post what he did. Unless somehow his ranked games had maokai enabled for some odd reason.

Edit : Also today was pretty funny started out really fun then the servers went to lag hell and every loss recieved a loss forgiven. Right now the servers aren't laggy but losses are still being forgiven pretty funny lol. Also the forums are being annoying, everytime I try to post i get the summoners code pop up and I click I accept but it just sits there -_- fat ass garen just keeps staring at me :[

Last night, after 3 normal game wins, I got my friend to play a round of Co-Op vs AI

Long story short: We had 3 feeders, me and my friend were carrying. Bots were fed so much that they pretty much took me and him down very fast at the end. I was so pissed. We lost. Saddest sh'it ever.

I was on Cho'Gath, my friend was on Teemo. Man I shouldve went tanky had I known those 3 guys were feeding harder than I had initially thought. I was pretty much building Hybrid AP/Tank on him. >_>

You actually can't feed the Coop vs. AI bots. They'll always get their items no matter how hard you stomp them.

Madreds Bloodrazer is your best friend in Coop vs AI.

I somehow find it near hard to believe it's possible to lose a Co-op vs AI game... Trolling?

My 3 loses in that mode says otherwise. Intermediate bots have rigged stats or have every rune possible or i don't know what the heck, because they are some tanky pieces of pomegranate that can eat 1/3 of your hp bar with one skill >.>. Team fights are absolutely hideous with those bots and its better to either backdoor the towers or kill each bots when they are alone.
