Do you find college/university worth it all?

As my Chemistry teacher likes to say, "View my class as a gym. I will show you the machines and exercises you need to do in order to tone your muscles. You can choose to do them, or you can choose not to do them, but whether or not you buff up depends on how much you do them. Also, it's completely fine if you feel like you don't need to come to class. Some people can buff up on their own without help."

It's true that I can learn all the material on my own just by reading textbooks from the library. However, if I want people to believe that I actually know the material, then I need a credible institution to certify me, and in order to do that, I must first pass through university. I feel like university is the only gateway to exclusivity (graduate school, med school, whatever else), and for that reason, it is worth it for me just to pass through it, regardless of how broken the system is.

Regarding the social aspect: The people I've met so far are mostly jerks, but I've also found a few people who make decent friend material. Namely one who I care immensely about.

I haven't been yet, but my parents have both gained unbreakable friendships and knowledge leagues above of our neighbors, and my sister is enjoying it immensely (when her skank roommates aren't pissing her off with their antics). I want to go since I honestly don't know what to do after high-school besides college. My dad saved his GI-Bill for us, so my first two years are already set, and it seems like it would be kind of a waste not to use them considering what he went through. Another factor for me is the fact that I may have a chance at a football scholarship at a Division 1 school if I play/work my hardest.

I went to college full time and worked a full time job plus overtime. It was worth the experience. I did get my degree and graduated with a 3.9 GPA, however unless I move to a place where jobs that pertain to my field of study are more plentiful, I dont see being able to persue my career. So in the end result, it was worth it for the experience but not overall. The debt and lack of market outways the value.

it depends of what you wanna do, I didnt finish college and i used to work with computer hardware maintenance (started @ 16) and now im a office manager, college is just so you can have a paper saying you are graduated in my opinion.

Its because you are a caster DPS, try being a meele tanker, they fear/stun/freeze/seal me all the fking time, yesterday i had 2 rogues stunning me, then, they tried to atack me from the back, i fking owned both of them. in that BG, i did around 2.000.000 damage lol.

And beside. For my noobness who doesn't know what PvP gear is, I was mad pro to come out number 1 out of 80 people.

It depends on what you want to do with your life. College is worth it to me because I want to be a doctor. But if you want a career in something that does not require a degree, then I would say generally it would not be financially worth it. However college is a unique experience and it does open you up to new ways of thinking and learning. Attending college for me impacted changes (for the better) on alot of my viewpoints.
