Which one is better dps?
#1
I know i might not be posting in the wrong subforum, but the aran section is semi dead >.<.

But yeah, just curious if anyone could help tell me which polearm would give me the better overall dps out of these two.

An arcglaive at 6 speed which gives me 16140~17933 range vs an Eclipse at 7 speed which gives me a 17546~19496 range.

Basically if that didn't make sense (in my head it did at least)...

16140~17933 range with arcglaive vs 17546~19496 range with eclipse, which option has the better dps.

Sorry if i seem lazy, i don't really get how the dps chart calculations work and stuff, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

In general you can get approximate weapon speed comparisons by doing (10 + speed - booster). So for a speed 6 weapon on an aran, it's (10 + 6 - 3) = 13, vs. (10 + 7 - 3) = 14.

So Arcglaive naturally does 14/13 times as much damage. Which makes the two weapons basically indistinguishable for dps.

Ahh, that clears it up a bit, the main reason i wanted to see which one was better was because i intend to sell one of the two, although the dps is indistinguishable, any opinion out of the two which one you would keep if you were in my situation(arcglaive having less range but faster, eclipse having higher range but 1 speed slower)?

If either has better room to improve (eg. unhammered slots, bad potential) I'd keep that one I guess, since you'll be able to upgrade it in the future, and make it better than the other one.
