Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 General

Haven't been playing too much lately because I've been cracking most of my times into taking Japanese studies into overdrive. I'll probably start playing again to add Shuma to my team.

Also, it would seem Tron is a lot more popular than she used to be, right? Kinda sad, I hate playing popular characters.

Finally finished missions with Haggar, Hsien-Ko, Dormammu, Thor, Super Skrull and I think I'm missing someone else (Tron maybe?).

Fourth weekend playing it (I only get to play on the weekends) and I'm starting to get the hang of Assists to extend combos. I'm currently playing with Deadpool, Hsien-Ko and a wild card (Tron, Arthur, Dormammu, Super Skrull, Haggar, etc).

Hopefully I'll get internet back by next weekend and play some online.

Tron has a powerful Assist in Gustaff Fire, I think that's why she got popular.

Yeah, the "same rank" feature is pretty bad. It seems like the flowchart just goes:

"Are you above the 'Fighter' rank?"
No: Put you up against Rookies and Fighters
Yes: FREE FOR ALL!

I like your style. I like most of the same characters you like. I'm particularly fond of Super Skrull, Hsien-ko, Amaterasu, and Thor. Dormammu was one of my favorites when I first got the game, but my favorites have changed a lot since I've tried out more characters and I've had more play time as the characters I found myself really interested in learning and trying out. Recently, I've been trying to learn Arthur, Haggar, Hulk, and Morrigan lately.

I wish I had MvC3 for the 360 also so I could try learning from you, since it seems like we've got pretty similar tastes.

Also, I still don't feel ready for playing against people on Southperry yet. I don't feel like I know the game or my characters well enough, and I'm still not that great in Arcade mode yet either. My record on Ranked is horrible, and now that I'm apparently a Fighter, I'm screwed. When I played with Piggy a while back, I did okay for being new and not playing that well, but otherwise, I came out really butt devestated. I'll let you guys know when I'm confident enough to be ready.

Welp, today was the most depressing day of MvC3 I've had so far. I don't even think I can stand a chance against the lowest computer difficulty at this point. I decide to take a couple days off, and everyone and their mother can suddenly kill me within a minute. I can't pull of combos I used to be able to land easily anymore, I can never hit the right button at the right time, and my fingers seem to wanna rebel. I think I dropped 10% on my liscence board today x_X. it seems like everyone I face is in my head now. Either that, or I'm severely out of practice. Even spending 2 hours in the practice room trying all the moves and combos I could think of didn't work.

Just got the game yesterday. Can't get enough of it.

Been playing a lot of zero/ amaterasu/ hsien-ko/ spidey/ joe, and dante.

I really want to get better but I'm not sure how I could improve. I've been trying to do my missions on my main characters but some of them are just way too hard.... Doing pretty well online though.

I'd like to play wesker but he just seems too complicated for me at the moment.

Know what's ticking me off? Chun-Li seems to be the new Sentinel, so many people last night were whoring her and spamming her Lightning Kick. So damn annoying when cornered when trying to stop her meets up with MORE kicks to the face. Raaaaage.

Play dat keep away broheim. I may start messing around with dante, since someone actually knew how to use him was able to wipe the floor with me, and he could get around my Zero's rushdown with ease.

Dante is definitely too easy to combo with. I tried him in Mission mode, my god I can almost see him replacing Zero, despite being a Zero fanboy and haven't played any of Dante's games. :<
