Okamiden

Well, I don't know how many of you have played the original Okami, but it was a masterpiece of a game. Ever since it's original release on the PS2, I've been anxiously awaiting for a sequel to the game, and a good one at that.

Come 2010, I find out about Okamiden on the DS, and have been anticipating its release for quite some time. It comes out tomorrow officially, but I've heard Gamestop is selling it early. I was thinking about picking it up, but I really don't know... I've heard a lot of good things about it, and if it's along the same lines as the original Okami, it's bound to be great, but length and gameplay both play important roles in a game to me.

Has anyone else picked it up and can recommend it, or is anyone else thinking about getting it? I think it's the last major release on DS before the 3DS.

I've pre-ordered it and am just waiting for their call. I'll be writing a review in my blog once I've got it though.

That's exactly why I pre-ordered it. Lost my stylus and maaan that thing is awesome.

Ugh, I really need to finish the first one... can anyone link me to good Okamiden info? Or just tell me what's new?

Im kind of interested but i get the feeling there is a lot of stylus work that will annoy me.

idk games have to be simple for me to be able to pick up and play...unless someone can confirm okamiden isnt really complicated.

Freaking shame, too. This is probably the most screwed over good franchise ever in terms of sales.

Stopped by Gamestop to pick-up my friend's other birthday gift (and I was thinking about pre-ordering L.A. Noire, but decided to do that later), asked if they had Okamiden for sale and indeed they did! Picked it up, and the guy was incredibly generous and gave me one of the pre-order bonuses with the Celestial Brush Stylus and the Okamiden Screen Cleaner with it. pineapple yeah.

Just beat the first boss of the game, and I'm loving it all so very much.

Capcom had the stupidly anticipated MvC3 to worry about. If they pushed that back for Okamiden, the backlash would've been immense.

Only gripe so far is that the cut-scene/exploration ratio is a tad on the high side. Enjoying reminiscing about old areas again. A little confused on a few changes in mechanics as well, but overall I'm pleased so far.
